QUOTE(toinxer @ Oct 9 2009, 02:21) Damn. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) Tenb could have increased the exp a bit to compensate for the increase in monster difficulty. In the long run that actually makes it harder for you to play.

Agreed. I want everything but exp increased. Too much exp too fast doesn't let your proficiencies keep up with your level. On an unrelated note, dreamfall is now not reasonably beatable for me. Wearing all heavy armor (4/5 plate) and dual wielding with a penetrated armor proc and a dagger with +16 parry (my total parry is almost 40%), once there are 3 or more mini-bosses per round, I get hit for 400+ damage per turn. The mitigation changes and new regen just make it impossible to do unless I get another 10 item slots to hold shield scrolls. The old regen used to keep you up long enough to at least take out one of the mini-bosses before you had to use it or cure again, but now it's: regen, attack once, cure, cure, attack once - maybe twice, cure, cure, godly draught, attack once, cure, attack once, cure, absorb, cure, attack twice. First mini-boss defeated. 3 more to go. I just can't do it. That's over 40,000C lost to dreamfall in the last week. I don't have the credits to keep doing that. QUOTE(DemonEyesBob @ Oct 9 2009, 02:25) I think most likely what happened there is a spirit attack got absorbed. Soul damage used to be a physical... element? Something like that. I'm pretty sure spirit attacks can be absorbed, but they are also 'used', so that's most likely the issue. I can go test it if you want, or you can go on cakefest, find a peacock, use absorb, and hit defend until it finally uses it (no pun intended). You may have to hard code the spirit attack names into the BattleBuddy in order to tell them apart from physical skills and be able to tell what can be absorbed. I'm pretty sure resist is as simple as casts vs uses, which was your original issue. BTW: Super Serial is a magic skill, not a spirit attack (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) Spirit attacks are slightly different from normal attacks. They're considered both physical and magical for damage, so I would assume something that would prevent either physical or magical would prevent a spirit attack. That's also why a spirit attack is affected by armor piercing. As for poison, it being physical damage would probably explain that being affected as well.

There is a magical and physical roll used in spirit attacks, but I'm not sure if weaken will decrease its power. PA affects it because it essentially removes the enemies physical and magical defense. This post has been edited by DemonEyesBob: Oct 9 2009, 04:31

I'm still trying to see the impact of 0.3.7/8's drop changes. I'm seeing less consumables, and maybe 2 elixirs a day (the ones from Healer don't count). Equipment wise drop rate seems pretty much the same.
If only I knew about the buff to scavenger I would have maxed that other than maxing Luck of the Draw.

So you're saying you maxed Luck of the Draw? Or do you mean you were working on it instead of Scavenger?

Donations as gifts for Battle Buddy, for starters. Well deserved, I must say.

If you said it was maxed, I would have had to track you down and beat you with a baseball bat for whoring that many elixirs from Grindfest. Not likely seeing as I'm already at 17 million a level and he's 22 behind me... especially if I start playing all the arenas everyday again. Not unless he's using a script to play grindfest 24 hours a day. This post has been edited by hitokiri84: Oct 9 2009, 05:40

The thought of "catching up" to Hito (or anyone else for that matter) has never crossed my mind. HentaiVerse is really a one player game with a communal market. This forum is really the only thing that gives the game a multiplayer feel - though hopefully a peer-to-peer trading system would help make it feel like you're not alone (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

Has he ever explicitly denied that?

QUOTE(Tenboro @ Oct 9 2009, 01:58) Alright, so if I add Shiny Medal, value 1C, no other use, everyone will be happy?
So, it would be dropped as every Arena Clear Bonus replacing the normal Items drop? Wow, by all means, DO not do IT! (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) This post has been edited by hen_Z: Oct 9 2009, 06:36

You speak Chinese? Anyways, I have the week off school next week, and I recently got a Gold Star. I wonder how far I can rise in that period.

I have seven of them and I'm still wondering that myself.
