You see, the point of my opinion, was to state my current situation and view of the update. If I wanted to baww about higher level things, I'd have to get their first. So once again, I'll restate my opinion.

As a dual wielder you should have noticed decreased accuracy and damage on your end, as well as taking more damage if you were heavy armor invested. if you didn't well, that's pretty awesome, you lucked out in some form or fashion in your specific gear arrangement.

Judging by this thread, the people who seem to be affected the most probably don't have high proficiencies. (could be total bullshit, just throwing that out there)

I'm not saying that this update didn't affect anything, but it's also not the end of the world. Marcho noted that the multiplicative stacking of numbers was needed, and I agree. If they were additive we'd all eventually have 100% mitigation or evade and then win the game. (eg. having 100% holy mitigation, you would take 0 damage from Invisible Pink Unicorn)

I'd call 0.3.7 a necessary "evil", if you will. In 14 days we'd forget all about the "nerfs" and all be sharing our input in a new thread titled "how to make money in HentaiVerse".

I did noticed a decrease in accuracy in the terms of the actual numbers, or the percentages in my stats and equipments pages, but in actual application, I haven't gone like "Oh hey, it looks like I'm missing more."

As for the damage increase; I have noted an increase in damage, but as I said, not in the actual damage itself, but the frequency of me getting damaged, as a result of the loss of evasion. My armor focuses on maximizing mitigation, and not damage reduction, so maybe that has something to do with it.

Mitigation should have been the hardest hit. strait absorb was actually unaffected.

Well, so far the easiest and usually best solution to these nerfs that I've come across is to just throw more END at it (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/sleep.gif) Did it last time and got to some pretty high cakefest rounds...granted the number of rounds I can go has decreased to 1/3rd of what they were before this nerf, throwing in more end increased the number of rounds I could go. Currently I'm at 6 above my level +15 from gear (was 7 above level then leveled) and I'm probably gonna go back up to 7 above my level than throw in some more str and wis...mostly since they cost about half the exp my end does now (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/sleep.gif)

Actually, my absorbtion went down 2 points, which would mean that the aura got cut in half...

Strange! My strategy was to throw more STR at my character. Killing faster was better than living longer. At the end, at least I make more exp/credits/items. (STR also adds to Shield Rating, but only 0.5 per point of STR)

Now that healing costs have been halved, my plan of fight till I die, rinse and repeat is still viable. Just that I die a lot more often.

it should have only applied to percent based auras though. I thought the physical absord was a straight 2, not a percentage.

It wasn't a 50% reduction, it was multiplicative stacking. It just happned to work out to half in that example.

but say you had a 10% acc weapon, and two ranks of acc aura (10%), they would add 9%, not 5%.

I didn't read that closely enough. I assumed that DnD was referring to a +5 hit aura. All of the absorption auras have always been +2, so are we talking about a rank 2 aura here?

My aura gives the full +2 absorb.

I only have 4 auras, so yea, 3 of them are rank 2, those three being accuracy, physical damage, and absorb, while my rank 1 is evasion.

Edit: Also, it might not be just the aura, but the armor as well and it just evened out to be 2 points, but still, those 2 points were keeping ghosts from damaging me :X

Edit 2: Also gill, pumping end isn't just for the shield, but for the hp and barrier rating as well. Helps reduce magic as well as physical and pulls more use out of my 21 hp tanks :X

I've been going against common knowledge and pumping points into AGI and DEX in the hopes of avoiding being hit at all. It seems this might be paying off with this new update.

it actually takes a ton of agi and dex to raise your hit and evade. it's not really worth it in the end
