Total Drops: 1108 from 535 monsters (207.1% total drop chance).

Hmmm...yeah.....that doesn't quite seem right.

Anyway, here are some new numbers, all from 3.8. I'm gonna reset my drop log and gather some 3.9 data.

Total Drops: 748 from 11711 monsters (6.39% total drop chance)
Artifacts: 0% of drops
Equipment: 1.6% of drops
Items: 98.4% of drops
Artifact Drops: 0 from 11711 monsters (0% drop chance)
Equipment Drops: 12 from 11711 monsters (0.1% drop chance)
Item Drops: 736 from 11711 monsters (6.28% drop chance)

Still 14 Scav, 7 Luck, 2 QM, 1 Archeo.

Drop chance at 5% base is a pretty sound assumption to make, since +28% comes out to 6.4.

I'm pretty sure the monster count is fucked up somewhere. The round count is correct though, at 2500 (2496 or something. Just say 2500).

Oh in addition, can people start keeping track of the ratio of tokens of healing to tokens of blood that they find?

I've got 20 tokens of healing but only 1 token of blood so far.

Latest version of BBE should help with that. I picked up 3 Healings and no Bloods as Token Bonuses in my 16 Arenas during yesterday's Dawn. Haven't done the arenas yet for the new Dawn. Picked up 4 Heals yesterday, don't remember how many Bloods or where/how.

Edit again:
Could people who have/use Absorb keep track of what Skills are getting absorbed? I'm trying to figure out if Used Skills can be Absorbed or only Cast Skills.

I think I can safely say only cast skills get absorbed. Spirit attacks I'm not sure about though. I have had spirit attacks both absorbed and parried (saved my life too lol).

Yeah, I was starting to think Cast Skills are "pure magic" and Absorb only works on those. Spirits, though, are an entire other can of worms. I just wanted to check with more magically-inclined players since Absorb is supposed to work better for them.

OK, spirit attacks are in fact a separate can of worms and I think will have to be hardcoded in and they don't make any fucking sense.

--------
Magical Spirit Attacks that I know of:
Spirit Peck (I have no idea why this is magical instead of physical)
Ambergris Alert

Physical Spirit Attacks that I know of:
Spirit Kick (It's ridiculous how hard it is to get the cockatrice to use that)
Om Nom Nom Nom
-------

I haven't been inclined to get hit by boss spirit attacks recently (the om nom nom was an accident and it got parried which saved my ass so that's why I know it's physical lol), so if anyone else has and knows what type they are, please contribute.

EDIT:

The rules for monster spirit attacks are different than ours, and resemble monsters skills more than player spirit attacks. To elaborate: physical spirit attacks will be affected by weaken and can also be parried, and absorb can proc on magical spirit attacks.

Thanks for the info.

I'll try and test the other bosses when I get a few tokens, I haven't had any for awhile now.

A bit of advice for both New Guys to HV as well as HV Veterans who are Former Mages switching over to a Warrior Class:

DO.....NOT.......let the other characteristics of a Weapon fool you into buying it if it has a very poor bonus to Weapon Accuracy.

Case in point: At this very moment (read; as of this writing) there is an Emerald Scythe for sale in the Bazaar.

It has one of the highest DMG Multipliers that I've yet seen on a non-Prism Weapon, and an extremely high probability of Proc for a Bleed Effect.

HOWEVER......it has a "to hit" bonus of only 8 tenths of a percent to hit.

The most fearsome Weapons in the game are utterly useless if you can't hit the Enemy with them.

My personal recommendation: you should look for Weapons with a minimum of 5 points bonus to hit or better, unless you have a combined series of natural and armor/weapon-based bonuses to your Accuracy.

well, with reasonable dex you have 75-85% hit chance anyways depending on your level, even with 0 acc. Actually, my main weapon has only a 2.5 acc bonus.

But certainly, get acc where you can. Just realize that the diference between a 0 acc bonus and 10 acc bonus is next to nothing. It's only when you get 50+ equipment acc (invluding auras and armor) that you will see any major difference in your hit chance.

lets just look at, for example, the 0 vs 10 situation.

at level 100 with 100 dex, you have an 82% base chance to hit. At 0 acc well, thats an 82% chance to hit. At 10 acc, that changes to 83.8%.

I wouldn't buy a Scythe simply because they cost so much compared to other weapons. My Longsword is far superior to that particular Scythe, yet it would cost less than half as much to buy. IF the Scythe was a Longsword with the same stats, priced accordingly, and I didn't already have a weapon with Bleeding Wound, I'd probably buy it.

Now that is a fair warning.

Scythes, Sword-chucks, Wakizashi and Katana are going to run you a hell of a lot more than a normal weapon, and in most cases you should avoid buying them.

There are a few exceptions (I've seen some, er 1, godly katana) but for the most part "special" weapons are more for show, you shouldn't spend your hard earned credits picking them up from the shop when you could do just as well with a much less expensive item.

I have an awesome wakizashi that gives me 32.8 acc bonus. Used it for a while and I had no problems hitting enemies a majority of the time.

Anyway, there seems to be a limit to how many times you can start a grindfest. Does anyone know the limit?

Ah I should add that.

You can start one new grindfest every hour and one new grindfest battle every three minutes, averaged over 100 hours. You can do as many grindfest as you like in one hour, you are not limited to 1 per hour, its the average over 100 hours that matters. Basically, as a rule of thumb, you can do about 24 grindfests a day.

The specialty weapons are perfectly usable, they are just overpriced. That's why I don't suggest buying them, but if you find them they can be a nice, if small, boost. Just as an example though, I have seen 45+ acc daggers with reasonable regularity, and one or two with 75+ acc. So while wakizashi can be nice at your level, generally they aren't worth buying from the shop, only using if you found them.

The specialty weapons are cool, but not all are usable. Generally the higher level ones like the magnificent swordchuks of slaughter gillian found, with +26 STR, are usable lol.

This is dumb, I can't even start a grindfest anymore. Using the 1 per hour rule, it's not working. Now I have full hp/mp for who knows how long. It makes my investment in regen training totally useless.

I pretty much do the same thing as you but less than 6. I don't even know how I was able to discover this limit.

Apparently the 1 per hour is the same as the hourly battles. The grindfest has a timer of its own, not tied with the hourly battles.

When was this even implemented?
