I decided to try melee on persistent like everyone else. I did 1h power with axe, holy infusion, and 2 feathers. Feathers not needed honestly and my fighting choices could have been more refined but oh well, it is what it is and these are the results. I expected better due to isekai then I remembered the health reduction for sg in isekai.

Another Lightning day, 2284 turns. Shaft by 70 turns compares to more than a month ago.

Nezu could use pretty average Power armors @50-100k each, a reasonable 200k shield and an even-less-reasonable 100k weapon, all with minimal forging (Lets say 13) and sub-optimal IW ... and still clear it easily and I believe only marginally slower (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/huh.gif)

While cheap mages DIE each day (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

it's actually fun to try to master other styles. Also, you try to reach tower floor 64 as a mage LOL

It's not the peerless gear of Nezu, it's mainly that he understands how to optimize the play style with spirit stance, OFC and the skills

If I were using a cheap 1H build, it'd probably be around 3500 (by virtue of DD9 and Manehattan, so it only cost me a jillion credits!!!) or higher.

Yeah, but here's the thing - I could do DWD in less than 1300 turns with my holy set, but I actually have a lot more fun doing it as dual-wield. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

Thanks for posting your results and examinations. Some of the points you make may be quite DW-specific, but are also helpful to consider for attack efficiency in Niten as well. In that case, managing OC for Skyward Sword v. Spirit Stance v. OFC is as relevant for efficiency as the points you analyze above, imperil use and the attack style varies in similar ways whether it's against just a monster mob v. 1 SG v. 2 SG v 3 SG, etc etc. Not the more popular style of play, but requires a bit more strategic planning to improve with beyond throwing money at armor upgrades.

9817 turns with ~2.11 t/s

2715 today, 2 turns slower than my previous DW record. I was hoping to get a 26xx - and it would have been possible with exact turn-by-turn precision, but Monsterbation goes faster than I can hover away after hitting a target, so sometimes I attack twice when I only needed 1 hit for overcharge, and sometimes I hit things before imperil landed because it's on an awkward position and I have to do it manually because the 1-2-3 keybinds are off the end of the list, etc...

At some point I'm going to re-IW my weapons because I suspect OP5/F4 on both will outperform B5/F4, even with club stuns. But that has to wait til next week. I was just hoping RNG would be on my side one of these attempts (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

The higher your damage, the more likely you're wasting it on overkill instead of hitting a breakpoint - so the turns saved by butcher are probably less than the turns lost to parrying (around 150 could be saved by overpower last time I calculated). So theoretically there's probably a 50-100 turn saving there!
