First I'd recommend you get a better staff since MDB is just way too low. MDB is more important than EDB, so you might want to look into that. If you actually do get a new staff, I recommend you get a LARD instead, since main strength of LAWD is in IW and PFFEST, and you're gonna do either with the staff you have anyways.

One other thing I suspect is, your physical damage is just way too high, esp for your stats. Did you just slap in your mage gears onto your 1H Persona without adjusting the stats by any chance? Just getting the right distribution of stats on a second persona would greatly benefit your magic score. Try something like this:



EDIT: Also, if you can't afford a new staff, at least get a better potencies on it. You want penetrator5 at least

Still looking for a new staff; it's hard to find one around my level. If I consider level 500, I have the following options:
Staff 1 50k
Staff 2

Could not find a redwood one in the market.

Unless you have like ~110-130 in ability boost training, every point is valuable, especially at your lvl

For 1h/heavy ability points are easy peasy.
You basically don't ever really need to train ability boost.

For an elemental mage it's a whooole different story.

If you want just the basics of all general stuff, all cloth armor abilities, the two staff abilities (no staff dmg), both imperil upgrades, haste, SV, spirit shield, arcane focus, regen, cure, spark, protection, spikes and all elemental spell bonus abilites....
At lvl 400 you need ability boost to be trained to 131.

That's.... a lot of money in ability boost.

Like, I'm lvl 407 atm, with 125 in ability boost and I am still 6 AP short on maxing out better spirit pots.


On my 1h/heavy persona I'm also lvl 407 with 125 ability boost.... AND I have both holy/dark imperil boosts.... And I still have 70 points left (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

So, completely different story my friend.

because I want to use fancy magical spells with my 1H heavy and use strong physical attack with my heavy mage (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/cool.gif)
I do have different personas, my left-handed 1H, right-handed 1H, and ambidextrous 1H.
