QUOTE(lestion @ Mar 12 2019, 11:30) Good news: when you level a stat with a special component (like phazons & shade frags) all other stats on that piece can catch up to that level without using one - so, upgrading everything to forge 5 will only cost 5 shade frags. About 30-40k (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) It's the cheapest of the bunch, at least. Forge bonuses work on a logarithmic curve, so those first 5 levels are really important - by level 10, you've already got 50% of the bonuses you'd get from level 100. Nice (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) thank you for the info.

QUOTE(lestion @ Mar 12 2019, 06:10) FWIW, I have no issues with PF IW100s using club/rapier.
D: what are your stats? Last time I tried (before lv400 (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)) it wasn't a nice experience

Last time I tried (before lv400 (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)) it wasn't a nice experience Re-equipping the nimble rapier: With my balance rapier (shout-out to IW for letting me get to butcher4/fatality4 then giving me overpower 1 + elec strike): Most of my armor is pretty average/bad so I'm sure you can outperform this no problem. Also, today's DWD: 5168 turns, so roughly in line with the nimble rapiers still. Might be able to drop below 5k on Friday... Club of slaughter + rapier of the nimble That's simultaneously promising and worrying - if that's where you're calling it quits, is DW even capable of a full clear without near-peerless gear? I know this is meant to be for DWD stats specifically, but this topic is a really good all-round benchmark for fighting style capabilities, honestly. Please excuse me a few off-topic messages (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) This post has been edited by lestion: Mar 12 2019, 22:19

I'm pretty sure you can achieve it easily with a rapier and a nimble waki. In my case, if I had a fully forged peerless rapier I'd gain around 1.5% parry chance and 0.5% evade if my club was ethereal, don't know if that would make a difference...

I'm not necessarily sure the difference between club and rapier would be that major against regular monsters (rather than schoolgirls) - less time & need to stack up penetrated armor, and also more survivability gain from the stun... Is that the difference in parry between using a club MH and a slaughter rapier MH, or between your rapier as an offhand and a peerless rapier? Just a quick check... dual wielding (low forge) nimble rapiers gets me to 80% parry, haha

I think 90% parry can help a lot (rapier +waki), my nimble rapier forged to lv.50 gets me to 80% but it seems that's not enough. QUOTE Is that the difference in parry between using a club MH and a slaughter rapier MH, or between your rapier as an offhand and a peerless rapier?
my current nimble rapier vs. a peerless one

If you're going that defensive, would you use a rapier of slaughter mainhand or a nimble? I would guess nimble for 90% parry, that's nuts

With IW on staff cut down turns by almost 1k. Clear speed by ~6m I'm still confused as to what I'm doing wrong I guess. Saioux is getting ~300 turns less QUOTE(Saioux @ Mar 10 2019, 08:24) snip
With 2 magnificent pieces, no infusions and I assume no aether either (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/cry.gif)

That's pretty good! I use aether, but I don't think it makes too much of a difference, in SG especially. My staff isn't actually max forged, but I forged my phases to 10 so maybe that's the reason? Apart from that, I got deprecating perks and the pony quiz perks, so if you haven't got them maybe it's a good idea to get those? Especially the pony quiz perk is really really good for mage.
Also, what's your prof factor? Mine's 0.7 right now so maybe that's another reason?

Mmm maybe the phase forges? Cause I have elemental cotton to 50 but phase one piece at 5 for all the important stuff and one piece at 4 for the same stuff. The other 2 pieces unforged. Cause no phazons (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/cry.gif) Uuuu maybe depr perk? Cause even with CR I feel like my imperil cast is maybe a bit too high. What is the pony perk? (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif) My prof factor is at 0.648 so yeah that's probably part of it as well.... Ok, I'll try and catch up (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

Is it really worth it (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif) ? I don't get the pony captcha that often

Ok, I think I may have figured out a bit of the problem (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) 1. My staff was not soulfused 2. I was using waaay too many draughts (basically running all 3 on at all times just cause I have a bitch ton of 'em) 3. Trying to go for higher t/s and sometimes misusing spells (I'd have monsterbation stop and assume regen needs to be refreshed, but it was actually frost infusions running out and the icons look similar). Tried to fix all of that, this is the result: 2,502 turns 0:17:02 (2.448 t/s) Less turns, also a slightly lower t/s, but overall a faster clear speed by 2 minutes! (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) I still need to work on my proficiencies, right now only at 0.654. Plan to buy the elementalist/deprecating prof and pony perks as well as soon as I can. And definitely need to soulfuse 3/5 armors and upgrade 3/5 armors to at least 5 forged. Aaaand need Jug5 on like... 4/5. Only my cloth prof has jug5 (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) This post has been edited by KamuiSeph: Mar 15 2019, 02:35

^Congrats! Didn't know you did not soulfuse your weapon since in the screenshot you sent me it was already soulbound lol. Seeing your weapon's original level is 330ish, by soulfusing you got a 20% increase in MDB! Since Staff accounts for 40~50% of total MDB, that's a whole DD1 difference (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) Since you got that on a non-element day, maybe you can get a sub-2400 run on a frost day? Good luck!! Anyways, here's mine: lol can't get better t/s while watching anime. Made in Abyss is so...good....T_T
