Should I switch to Mage build or change equipment?

At your level, with a bit of work, you should be able to make up to anywhere from 2m - 5m credits. Selling trophies, PAs, and bulk selling shitty equipment. Along with credits from arena clears.

And that budget is absolutely enough to improve all your equipment. I used to have 44% block. Spending over 1m or so on forging any half decent Leg force shield can bring that up by a lot (in my case, up to 60%). The difference is absolutely palpable. It turns DWD PFUDOR from "I can do it, but it takes hours and tons of healing and scrolls" to "I can YOLO most of this now, and with one or two scrolls at the end, YOLO that too".

If you don't have a lot of credits, go to Decondelites WTS. Check all your equipment, and improve on them. Most of the pieces there are 20k-50k. Cheap. If you have a lot of credits, skip that and go to his auction, and bid on some even better Mags and Legendaries. Once you have a decent set of legendary stuff, spend a little time forging them (especially your shield).

Like I said. The difference will be palpable. You'll be doing things you never did before. Also, for your auto-cast slots, IMO I would go for Protection, SS, and SoL. That's all you need. You can always cast haste if you're in a bind and need that small boost of survivability, or use a Scroll of the Avatar (which boosts survivability much more).

Despite my crap equipment I am getting slightly stronger, barely. More notable though is that a moderate increase in my internet speed (and bill, from same ISP) resulted in over a 50% boost to turns/second to the alt domain, I didn't expect such a difference.

I forgot to update my quickbinds, so I should be able to do better next time. I wonder if other online games such as fighting games would also perform better with higher bandwidth? There's no way their lag can improve by 50%, but there might be a frame or two of improvement.

Nothing changed except last time I hadn't played in a very long time so I was in a bit better shape today. I'm about to upgrade my equipment massively which is why I bothered to record what will hopefully be my last pathetic DwD struggle.

My base attack damage only went up 27% with the new gear but turns somehow improved by 37%. I thought I played faster than ever but my turns/second dropped. My connection speed varies a bit, and my computer is slow and browser randomly freezes for ~15 seconds several times each DwD run.

I updated my power accessories, increasing my attack damage by another 3%. Turns reduced a further 7% but I think this was more due to my new buckler, as it enabled me to slightly change strategy against the final groups of 3 schoolgirls. I beatdown Konata then Vital Strike each Haruhi, by that time all the regular monsters are dead from pure counterattacks with no Penetrated Armor.

Today my internet was faster than before and for the first time in my life I exceeded 2 turns/second, on most of the easier arenas.

Frankly, you're quite slow for someone who has fully forged a rapier and who has a very high attack base damage for that level.

New hath perks, no significant equipment changes. Dæmon Duality did not improve my time nearly as much as expected so I tried once more and got an impressive 13% improvement. Innate Arcana does not improve my turns or speed the way I use it, which is purely for mana conservation. I almost always hard cast Protection, Spark, Haste, and Shadow Veil so I can get Channeling for Regen and Heartseeker.

I don't know what went wrong the first time. Due to bad luck there were a few times I had no Heartseeker but it wasn't long. I played slower than ever the second time to be careful but my turns/second increased via internet randomness. My turns/second is slightly higher in general after I cleaned the inside of the power supply of my rusty PC, which was having trouble.

Level: 398
