Copy past the relevant portion of the battle log in as well. High burden fridges usually get dinked by doublestrikes pretty often, its possible the damage is just getting condensed.

ex:

proc bleed wounds
critter atk
bleed
critter atk
bleed

Then the turns shown on bleeding when it pops up on the display will be one less than you were expecting.

You're not the only one who has witnessed this; I have a 4-tick Bleed Weapon for which I have often seen The Enemy suffer as few as only one Bleed tick.
(The next time that it happens, I'll make a picture of it and either edit this Post or put it into a new one.)

Hopefully, it's just a bug of some sort to be fixed in subsequent versions of HV.....

Perhaps you are hitting the same monster again and next bleed which is shorter duration overwrites current bleed? I'm not sure if it work that way, just an idea.

So bleed procs don't stack the way potion effects do?

Bleed doesn't stack, and whatever was applied last is the one that takes effect, which is why dual-wielding bleed weapons isn't exactly great, as you can overwrite, say , a 5 turn for 200 damage bleed with a 1 turn 40 damage one.
