Used iOS (started with iPhoneOS 2) for about 7 years. Jailbroke every device I had as soon as it was available, including the tethered jailbreaks. Switched to Android a few years ago, and it's a much better fit for me. I enjoy the flexibility and the ability to sideload apps.

I use more less both systems. For now I prefer iOS, though. My iPhone is newer than my Adnroid device and I use the latter only for programming reasons.

If you're smart you won't likely encounter the bad things.
It's a lot like avoiding viruses in Windows. If you make smart decisions you can get away without an antivirus.

Android is the only choice if you care about emulating on your phone at all.
My sister is jealous because I can play F-Zero X on my android and as long as she has an iphone, she never will.

iOS here. My phones have all been gifts, and they all work for me once I jailbreak, so I stick with it. I don't have anything against Android. If you're happy with your phone, more power to you.
