I've used e-hentai for many years now but only recently started playing HV.
Here are some questions:
1) I'm level 30ish in HV, should I try to level up my gear in item world? Or should I wait for better gear to level up?
2) I just got my first monster pet. Its only lvl 6, since It's under lvl 25 (and to my understanding useless right now), should I stop feeding it? Also should I focus feeding it crystals of the same type and save the rest for a different monster, or should I feed it anything I get?
3) As a Mage I've been using normal attacks to last hit the last monsters to gather overcharge and then use focus to gain MP when it's low, is the the preferable way to gain and spend overcharge?
4) Should I use SP at all at this level? My fiery blast one shots all three targets 95% of the time, and for the last couple of monsters I use normal attacks, sometimes I even hope that these last monsters last longer so I gain more overcharge for focus. So turning on Spirit seems like a waste and unwanted.
5) Are the Deprecating and supportive skills (other than cure) useful at all at this level? Since most of the time monsters die to fast for any Deprecating spells to have any substantial effect. And the supportive spells other than cure just seem to waste MP that would be better used for cure.
6) Does drain heal you? It seem to, but it's not mentioned in the wiki.
1) Yeah, you should wait until you have better gear.
2) Up to you. Monsters will gradually ask for more crystals and could wreck your wallet. I suggest you focus on spending your credits on
training and equipments first.
3) Yes. To be honest, I do the same thing. Especially if the dying enemy is under Coalesced Mana.
4) Spirit Stance is almost useless on a mage. Most of the time, Overcharge is better spent on Focus.
5) Some depracating spells are only useful in higher difficulties. All of the supportive spells are vital in surviving higher difficulty battles. But if you can oneshot enemies, I guess you're fine with none.
6) Drain inflicts Vital Theft on the target enemy. For each time the target enemy takes action, he'll take miniscule damage and then you get healed by a pitiful amount. I suggest that you don't use this.
