Why should someone want to lose gained Item Potency?

Because they got potencies they didn't want, like END/AGI on a staff, or elemental resists on armor.

Is Absorb useful on FSM? Does FSM cast his mana/spirit skills or use them?

Well absorb lasts until it actually takes effect now, so might as well use it. Spirit Shield is much more useful in general though.

FSM's spirit attack is magical, so absorb can be used against that. IMO silence seems to be a better choice though, as there's still chance for absorb (spell version) to fail.

Alas, too many debuffs. I'm killing FSM in DW mode, with Club/Rapier. So he usually have Stun, PA, Blind, Poison and Weaken on him.

Without Weaken he hits too hard with normal attacks/crits. So instead of Silence SoL keeps me alive. Well, that was the plan...

Swap out blind and poison and use slow and silence. The former two isn't that effective nowadays, especially with stun (which probably means it's stunned 80% of the time if you also use slow). Slow is actually the more important spell against FSM as it has the highest AGI among monsters in the game.

Blind and Poison inevitably come from DW skills. Blind from Iris Strike and Poison from Backstab.

Hm....try to trick the system then (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

Let stun and/or PA expires before casting the spells. Comparing with the original plan (assuming 75% depre prof, but ):
original: 5 effects, 6th one has at most 30% and 7th one has at most 15%
without one proc: 4 effects, 5th one has at most 45%, 6th one has at most 30%
without 2 procs: 3 effects, 4th one has 60%, 5th one has 45%

It's not the best solution, but at least your spells should be much easier to land on FSM. SP shield is also good against FSM once you get that (in 5 levels).

That's exactly what I am doing right now (remember Weaken?), yes. But there is always a scary chance that your silence won't make it in time.
So => SoL. It's more simple to play that way. No stress built (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

PS. BT FSM ok so far. Derp proc = 115.

I tested that with DW club/rapier. Depre proc at around 86%.
With stun/proc on, I tried to recast weaken for like 100 times. Curse-weaving never appears.
Then I tried to add another spell (on top of weaken) and curse-weaving starts to occur.

So...stun/PA should affect curse-weaving (from the second part of test). I can't understand why the first part happens though. (why curse-weaving seems never to fail among 100 trials)

What does the Dovahkiin title do again? Does it literally only unlock the FUS RO DAH skill, or does it also have the same bonuses as Godslayer?

If it only unlocks FUS RO DAH, it's kind of really shitty. It should get a buff, I think.

There's a reason you don't see anyone using the title.

Well then, I hope Tenboro will do something to improve it eventually.

It allows you access to old shatter strike iirc. That's not bad gimmick.

Eh, I don't know the damage for that skill, but it didn't seem so great when I used it.

Plus you lose out on the +10.0% damage, +3% evade, -5% burden/interference from Godslayer. That's more important than a not-great skill, in my opinion.

Indeed, that's why most people use godslayer, not dovahkiin. The skill's value is more in it's defensive capacity(5 turn stun on everything with 10 turn cooldown) than offensive.

You have to keep singing the song of the Dragonborn to unlock the full powers of the Dovahkiin title
