QUOTE(Marvin666 @ Mar 23 2010, 03:41) I'll just stick with an axe then. I'd have to find a long sword with a good bleed, and at least a 45% accuracy bonus after scaling to beat my current arrangement, and I know that's not gonna happen any time soon.
For one-handed the sword-chucks or the axe (can't really tell much since the difference is quite minimal) have the highest overall. For two-handed, it's the scythe. The scythe's bleed damage is in-par or slightly weaker than the katana's, but it has one of the longest bleeding durations (I think I've seen one go for 5-6 turns. Can't really remember). The problem with Scythes and Katanas and Sword Chucks is that not enough of them drop to find a truly amazing one the way truly amazing Axes and Longswords are actually kinda common. Maybe Scythes and Sword Chucks have better possible base rolls, but you never see one on the high end because there's not a large enough sample set.

If you use a scroll of the gods and the haste spell, you'll get the effect of both?
EX: Haste from the scroll of the gods = + 35 speed Haste spell = + 35 speed Incrised speed = + 70?

Yes, and the scroll gives you +100 action speed Same for other scroll abilities This post has been edited by cmdct: Mar 23 2010, 21:42

I have a scythe with 4 turns after scaling, but it only has a 15% chance, 44 damage, and it's stat bonuses suck. none of my katanas are that remarkable either: 21% 3T 51D, 21% 2T 66D, 25% 2T 59D, 19% 3T 44D, 21% 2T 44. Their stat boots seem to decrease as the bleed goes up. None of their stat bonuses (even with a wakizashi) match my axe and dagger. Since I never use them ,I might list my scythe, 5 katanas, and 2 wakizashi in my shop.

Have you tried niten vs DW axe/dagger?

Yes. All my stats are better with an axe dagger combo, than with a katana, and wakizashi. Plus, there's not really a point in grinding with a configuration that doesn't let you gain weapon proficiency. I have 28.27 points of dual wield, but only 7.68 of 2 handed.

That's the problem, bleeding damage depends on 2 things: proficiency and the bleed tick, so with so little 2H proficiency you can't do much damage like the 2W even if you have a 2H weapon with better bleeding than your axe. Besides if you want to grinding, and I suppose your propose is to clear rounds faster, 2H is the way because you bleed more than 1 mob at same time. Here's the bleeding formula: QUOTE Combat bleed damage is calculated by taking your listed bleeding damage and multiplying it by half your relevant weapon proficiency as a percentage. BASEBLEED x (1+(WEAPON PROF/100)/2)= BLEED TOTAL DMG
ex: 123 base bleed, 72 prof 123 x 1.36 gives 167.28 Bleed is 168 in combat, any decimals are rounded up to the next whole number.

Actually, the answer's no. I've tested this, and you only get the effect from the scroll. It isn't as much as +100 either, despite what it says in the release notes.

What? And Shield/Barrier/SV it's the same? This post has been edited by cmdct: Mar 24 2010, 00:59

I don't know about those. I think I might have to do some more testing now...

I know Shield stacks, so probably the same with Barrier. SV and Haste may differ because there's hard caps or summat.

..... it's the scythe....... Stay away from the Scythes. Their often incredible DMG and Bleed values are offset and more than offset by their incredibly bad ATK ACC, which you will notice in battle, they hit so much less than most other weapons. All in all, they are quite possibly the worst weapons in HV -maybe the Short Swords come close in overall crappiness. There's a reason why nobody ever boasts of having one. And on a side note: damn that Katana of Hito's kicks ass!

If compare Bubble-Gum (exclude the HP/MP restore) and Flower Vase, what is better and what is the difference?
10 - 9.5 = ?
0? 1?

0? 1?
I never used none of them before, but it's normal to use both combined for max effect.

I don't think anyone knows their exact effect, but one thing worth noting is that Bubble-Gum doubles as an almost-elixir (20% Health and Mana for 7 turns). From the description, Bubble-Gum sounds better (since the short length makes Health and Mana recovery better than Evade/Resist and Attack Speed), but that's assuming Flower Vase's attack/magic improvements aren't substantially better than Bubble-Gum's. Of course, as cmdct pointed out, they're best stacked because why not.

QUOTE(Ratio @ Mar 23 2010, 17:55) Well yeah, but it's like level 240. This one is just level 149 and it does a fair amount of bleeding: http://hentaiverse.org/pages/showequip.php...;key=58d43762c3Here's the weapon I use right now. It's a longsword of balance and it works reasonably well. I don't miss too much and whichever normal monster it connects with always bleeds to death. If I leveled it to the level of that scythe, I could probably get near or more bleed than it. It's level 105. IMO longswords work reasonably well if you can find a decent one. Right now it shows 128 bleed, but I get 169 bleed from it. So it's 845 bleed damage + hit and that's from a leveled down four rounds of bleed. Average Mithril Longsword of Balance

Average Mithril Longsword of Balancehariaku is right, you don't need the best bleed possible, I don't understand why you guys are so obsessive with it, you only need a 2H weapon with a good acc and enough bleeding to kill them to death, the hariaku's longsword is a perfect example of a good one, as well this katana, hell I used to use this longsword and despite having my 2H prof around 1/2 my level, I got no problems with it, what is also important is to have 2H proficiency as high as possible, because bleeding damage depends directly from it. Go first on a high level flimsy cake IW and just level up the 2H prof, then when you satisfied with the bleeding just play normal like you like. EX: to grind Edit: don't forget you always have 1 more turn, so 3 turns of bleeding means you get 4 turns. This post has been edited by cmdct: Mar 24 2010, 18:56
