QUOTE(YoungHickory @ Sep 10 2009, 10:57) Just offered up the box.
Pro: The Exquisite Club I got seems way better than any other weapon I've seen until now.
Con: It's my current level, so later I imagine it's going to seem feeble.
That's why I'm waiting until I'm level 80 or better. That & Tenboro may be planning something else as well. With every update I am appriciating Tenb's mischevious imagination more & more. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

With every update I am appriciating Tenb's mischevious imagination more & more. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) Actually, now that I've tried it, and really thought about it, I'm not sure it'll matter much. I suspect an *Exquisite* Steel Club of the Nimble Level 44 is going to be the best one hander I see for a long, long time. It's surely the first Exquisite item I've ever seen. And yeah, it'd be even better if I waited for level 100, but waiting isn't free. It comes at the cost of the use of that weapon for 56 levels. Until now the best I'd seen above fine is one single Superior weapon, and that wasn't anywhere near as good as this Exquisite item is. Everything else I own is Crude, Flimsy, Average, Fair, Fine. ( I don't know what order those go in from worst to best) I'd recommend cashing in the box now if you have an equipment slot you're sure you want to upgrade to a high degree, based on the great quality of what I got plus the fact that Tenboro has confirmed there will be no ohter uses for these artifacts.

When and where did he do this? If you are implying that he did so in this thread, I'm not seeing it...

That seems pretty clear to me.

QUOTE(YoungHickory @ Sep 10 2009, 11:27) QUOTE(Tenboro @ Sep 10 2009, 01:36) QUOTE(Yusuke3001 @ Sep 10 2009, 01:23) Just wondering Tenboro, since you're the only one who can truly answer this. Would keeping the Mysterious Box be a wise choice or would offering it to Snowflake be the wiser choice?
Well, I guess you could use it as a replacement Companion Cube, but I'm not planning any other uses for it. That seems pretty clear to me. In this context, it seems like Tenb is only talking about the Mysterious box. There may be other future uses for other artifacts. Like the chainsaw.

QUOTE(Boggyb @ Sep 10 2009, 17:43) +1 to that question. I bought chainsaw parts so I could have an effing chainsaw, not so I could give them as an offering to the gods. Other than that concern, jolly good show old chap. I'm glad you added the spacebar to return to arena screen...
I've been considering ways of actually making them into something cool without being way over the top OP, and while I have some ideas I haven't fleshed out anything yet. Because of that, Snowflake is actually keeping a tally on all the items you have handed in, and if any set rewards are added in the future she'll award them retroactively. QUOTE(dlhmmr @ Sep 10 2009, 18:23) @ Tenboro, did you change something on the loot drop rate? so far today I have gotten very few drops, compaired to the past week & I just finished another scaverger last night.
As usual, with every patch I reduce the drop and hit rates, and make monsters crit more.

Other than the fact that I only got an AP (which I can afford at this stage) out of my chainsaw (I got hath for my wirt's leg) I have no complains about this update. Guess I need to impress the She-Goddess more. =P

Ok, just to make things almost unnecessarily clear, if I donate my chainsaw pieces to the Goddess at the Shrine, if a chainsaw eventually is added as a piece of assemble-able equipment, I will get the pieces back? (or at least get credit for having them?)

any chance of having the round you're on displayed next to difficulty on sidebar? (e.g. Cake 50 if you're on round 50 of cake, so people don't have to scroll all the way to the bottom of their battle log to see what round they ended up at :P)

Just tried it. At first I thought it was no big deal, and in fact seemed a little worse than what I had before oddly. Th en I remembered: This isn't the Grindfest. This isn't on Cake. This is the toughest Arena I've ever completed, and this is on Normal. And it's cutting through these monsters just about as well as I used to do in the Grindfest on Cake.
This is a nice reward. Very nice. Even without the 33% chance of a two turn stun. Would you please post the Stats for that Weapon?? I'm at roughly your level (well, almost 10 levels up but you know what I mean), and I'd like to drool with envy if it is as sassy as you claim. Then I'd like to stare at those Stats ever afterward with love and longing. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/wub.gif)

But it would be nice to have it display up at the top somewhere.

I don't really need any weapons I have a Level 116 redwood staff of focus for mage, and (Level 154 fine sapphire axe & a Level 109 Mithril short sword) I use for dual wielding. The light & cloth armor combo is working well for me so I don't really have a good reason to make an offering of it. I can always hope for an artifact drop to use as an offering to snowflake. Good luck with that club BTW (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

(IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/wub.gif) It's a huge hassle to do it precisely since the inventory makes this as hard as possible, hiding the stats whenever you move the mouse away, but i'll give you estimates: 33% chance of stun for 2 turns Attack Multiplier 22 Accuracy 23 Parry 5 Burden 12 Interference 7 Str 1.6

Mouse over your equipment. CTRL+A. CTRL+C. Paste it here (and delete the large flood of text accompanying your stats).
