So, will be we getting real hotkeys for items, rather than one to just open the item menu? That's really the only thing keeping us from being able to keyboard-only battles, since we can attack monsters and have that awesome quickcast bar.

QUOTE(DemonEyesBob @ Sep 17 2009, 16:45) @Tenb: On an unrelated note, what do you think of a supportive ability that increases physical/magical accuracy? I know we have focus already... but I still like the idea.
Something like that might be added when I fill in the >100 ability trees. QUOTE(DemonEyesBob @ Sep 17 2009, 16:45) Also, does overwhelming strikes increase the power of spirit attacks?
No. QUOTE(DemonEyesBob @ Sep 17 2009, 16:45) Also, do you think you could add the details to the scroll popups? Like for scroll of shielding, instead of just saying procs the shield effect, say reduces all physical damage by 25%?
Sure could. QUOTE(DemonEyesBob @ Sep 17 2009, 16:45) Also, do you think you could add the And finally, one more request: make ctrl-f not active focus during a battle pretty pretty please!!!
Probably. Shouldn't be too hard.

Yay (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) QUOTE No.
Good to know. QUOTE Sure could.
Thank you (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) QUOTE Probably. Shouldn't be too hard.
Thank you very much!!! I've lost count of the number of times I've accidentally hit focus because I was searching for something through my battle log mid-battle. xD

Well, turns out that was a bit trickier than I thought. I can't bind control + num buttons since that's a common hotkey to switch tabs, and shift + num buttons turns out to be location-specific. Meaning I'd have to use something else than the numeric row, which is a bit.. less intuitive.

Firefox has fun with that; ctrl-8 = 8th tab, ctrl-9 = last tab (in my case like 15th tab). But ctrl-f is easy right? How about ctrl-shift-num or ctrl-alt-num? Not that I really use the hotkeys at the moment >_>

That's a shame. Thanks for letting us know that you've looked into it and that there's a small snag, I'm sure something will be figured out, like Bob's suggestion. But if you do use multiple control keys, you definitely have to fix that command hotkey problem (ex: the ctrl+f issue Bob mentioned).

QUOTE(DemonEyesBob @ Sep 17 2009, 19:09) But ctrl-f is easy right?
It's easy enough to detect if the button is pressed, I could even make it use items, but the problem was it'd also switch to another tab. Possibly? Don't know if there's any common browsers that use those for anything.

What about being able to put items on the hotbar? like put a drought on the last slot with a number next to it. Number is how much you have left ... Maybe?

Wouldn't it be possible to suppress those browser shortcuts (...with a shortcut)? crtl+f is the search function btw. Edit: @Cyriel then someone would have to draw icons. Tenb do not want. You could use the health icons and alter them a bit, though. This post has been edited by flint: Sep 17 2009, 19:54

Ahh! At least not getting one wasn't the RNG ongoing dislike of me, this time. (I had only bought 1 Skill Point by then [to get SP+].)

Bob in the mean time you if you hit capslock before you you do your ctrl-f, I'm pretty sure that it won't activate focus, I accidentally had caps on one time and r wouldn't recast

I'm 99.999% sure they aren't. My proficiencies are nearly maxed, and all from cakefesting. I never seem to gain more from higher settings.

I think the only thing that affects proficiency gain is distance from your level.

Proficiency gains are on a curve so the further from your level the faster they increase, but as mentioned above you can still cap them since Ten changed it about a month or so ago, before equipment. The curve was so steep that it was impossible to hit the cap before (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif). This post has been edited by Dndestroy: Sep 19 2009, 06:14

This should help avoid browser shortcut clashes: Firefox: //support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Keyboard+shortcuts IE 8: //windowshelp.microsoft.com/Windows/en-US/Help/223e800a-c5a3-435c-aa65-0c3710cf0d4f1033.mspx Opera: //help.opera.com/Windows/9.61/en/keyboard.html Safari: //docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=42951
They might be slightly out-of-date, but should be mostly accurate. (Addresses modified because this is my first post and no links are allowed.)

Doh, fixed it. Yea, I was thinking of both things at once *closer to your level slower and further from your level faster) and ended up typing a bit of both :X But yea, it was set up so the higher level people would be able to build it up faster cause they are the ones that need it more.
