Some minor graphical issues
The stats for some equipment items overflow the box (this is using FF 3.5.2, set to use HentaiVerse Font Engine). For example, the Average Silver-tipped Ebony Staff of Nilfheim that's currently in the shop. And the stats box itself is still getting cut off on items at the bottom of the screen.
(And shouldn't it be "Niflheim"? Kids these days just don't know their Norse myths like they used to...)

it looks like monsters really start hit harder... maybe not only magical, but all proficiencies went down with interference?

My dual-wield mage is liking this, although I have a nifty staff on reserve for when magic really comes back into vogue.
Thanks Tenboro!!

Thank you Tenboro for all those improvements. Full keyboard controls and the quickbar are totally worth the increased difficulty.

QUOTE(Tenboro @ Sep 6 2009, 01:10) Interference Changes
- Reduced the chance to fail spells outright due to interference.
- Interference now instead applies a penalty on your magical proficiencies: -- Every point of interference above 25 reduces all effective proficiencies by 0.75% of the base proficiency. Since you can't have negative proficiency, this naturally caps at about 154.8 interference. -- This also applies for curative and supportive magic, meaning that mage-type and lightly armored builds will have access to stronger heals and buffs than their fridge counterparts. The effect on supportive will be significant due to the way proficiency is applied across all supportive spells, but not so much on curative (25% with 200 prof).
Was that really necessary? Maybe I would switch over to light armor rather than heavy, but since it is impossible to increase proficiencies fast enough, I would be even more screwed...

Only thing I see is that I am taking 3x's the damage in a plate/cloth combo. I was averaging 2-3 damage per hit now it's 10 to 12 with more huge 150-250 game ending gang rapes where I just don't do high arenas anymore because I don't get anything for it. I'd kill in 2-3 hits, now it takes 3-5 on average
Still dodging 60-70% in full armor so just nerf bat that and I'm all set as a walking can of vienna!

Especially since we can't 'beat dead horses' anymore. Mashing Defend was kinda sweet for that. You could do montage with only your light armour, though.

The nerfed proficiencies with heavy armor are really fucking with my ability to fight the legendaries without resorting to gum and flowers. I just barely scraped by Mikuru with 2 Soul Gems for 460% Overcharge, 6 Mana Elixirs, 4 Health Elixirs, and a (Life-Saving) Spirit Elixir that saved my ass when I was one turn from death. The worst part is my Regen being slashed by approximately 1000 HP regen per cast. My Silence is reduced 7 or 8 turns as well, and my Weaken is reduced 6 turns, so I end up spending far more turns and mana trying to re-proc depreciating effects. So, I guess the whole point of this post is to give a big sarcastic thanks to Tenboro for making me build up my proficiencies to fight legendaries, only to slash them to shit since they can't be used with heavy armor thanks to the high Interference.

Holy hell, the 7 damage increase per hit by enemies due to the interference increase made Test of Faith actually hard. I had to use items... I NEVER use items on Test of Faith...

QUOTE(Tenboro @ Sep 6 2009, 03:10) - Mobs no longer have reduced hit points on Cake. The only thing that's different from normal combat-wise is that monster damage is reduced.
What's the logic behind (presumably) keeping the HP increase on the higher difficulties? Everything scales up for higher difficulty, but only one thing scales down for lower? QUOTE(Tenboro @ Sep 6 2009, 03:10) - Base offensive magic damage has been increased by about 20%.
Well this explains how I could one-hit baddies on Hard.

It is sad but true that I need to start use items A New Beginning onwards. Hell, I'm burning up my items! And I have the feeling that the drop rate decreased. Or it's just poor luck.

So essentially, good update for battle mages, bad update for refrigerators who cast Cure and support magic?
I can live with that.

I've been getting about 5% less stuff, down from like 10% and the chance of gear has dropped about half for me as well, and I'd love to get crappy gear too at least I can trash the stuff.
Only good thing I got so far was a blood token today and why do I need this since arenas just kick my ass now?

hell, i only have 34 interference but somethin seems to have gone horribly wrong for me.
my caking ability seems to have been reduced by ~75%, and its not cause of increased critter hp.

The melee should gain back the 10% accuracy loss from previous update. I mean fine we can lose some healing points and supportive, mobs hitting slightly harder we can deal with. However with everything combined together and then you miss 5 times in a row is just ridiculous.
Also, i believe auto-restock only works after you win/flee/defeated in arena/grindfest. So it's more or less a convenient addition. Unlike the function some of you, including me, first thought what it is.
