Not really sure what to call this but...

21 3 You are healed for -0 Health Points.
21 2 You cast Cure.

I was at full when I cast it, just to see what happened, and this is what I got. When I tried it again...

30 3 You are healed for 0 Health Points.
30 2 You cast Cure.

It's not a big deal or anything, but it's odd to say the least.

Here's another Slightly Odd Thing. If you carry no equipment your fighting style is "Unarmed", but if you equip a shield without a weapon it changes to 1H. I have no idea whether 1H proficiency makes a difference when you're smacking monsters with your bare hand, but I noticed that doing a Montage with that setup also trains 1H (at least, I assume it would have if it wasn't capped). So you can't choose to train shield on its own.

probably cause their shield is alot lower and since it splits the proficiency training one less thing to train means everything else gets trained more

What he said. My shield proficiency is 20 points less than my one-handed, despite using it a lot in Grindfest, and my cloth/light armour is even worse.

It just occurred to me that this feature could be useful for training 1H if you have a shield but no weapons... but it seems like a bit of a cheat, especially when you can pick up a flimsy weapon for under 400C.

That sounds like a new problem. I did a few Shield Only montages back when it first got added and only got Shield prof (it didn't even show 1H). Something probably got mucked up when Tenboro fixed the 1H-DW bug.

Minor montage/random encounter interaction bug: if your montage has ended but your character is still on the montage page (or possibly if you have not visited the hetaiverse pages) if you trigger a random encounter you'll still get the msg that your montage scared the monster away (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

Thanks, but then how do I decrease the burden and interference? Pretty much everything I have on me has more than half of the proficiency of my level. There's been no change since I was level 23 or 24.

The rate at which proficiency decreases burden and interference is rather low. At 5 proficiency in shields I'm still seeing about 98% of my shield's interference and burden, but with almost 27 heavy armor proficiency I'm seeing 93%. These go down to about 90% for my cloth and light armor in the mid 30 ranges.

I must admit that I've been going along quite merrily since the last update. It has made HV better for me.

Now that I'm closing in on 200 Hath, I would like to restate that the black / white aura bonuses are really weak compared to the primary ones. A 2 point bump in damage or defense + 2% elemental proficiency + 2 stat points > +10% HP or MP + 5% holy/dark proficiency. Base stat and buff effects are much more valuable than a bonus that costs three AP on the skill tree.

I still need to buy another 81 hath for my first penny pincher (and first hath perk). I did some figuring with sonic's calc and if I take the time to max that out, even though it would cost several million, I would still save about 100 million in training (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/sleep.gif) That and a little extra creds from selling stuff and a cheaper healer can't hurt, while the credit bonus from it, albeit small, would help with arenas.
