I get that sometimes also, not sure why. i use defend once after 50+ rounds in grindfest without using it at all prior to that and it tells me to stop beating dead horses. really?

Ow, magic from monsters now really hurts thanks to this update. I'm level 27 and a slime jiggled me for about 60 or more damage!

Tenboro, please add warrior abilities on the ability tree, something like increased crit chance or double hit every now and then would be good. It might also be a good idea to add equipment proficiencies to the ability tree for when people have no proficiency at all, so they don't get ass raped when they change weapons. I know montage is there, but it takes damn long for a player to get to at least half their level of proficiency.

Without fighting or montage with the chosen equipment on your body, no proficiency. And without the chosen spell being activated, no such magic proficiency. No efforts, no success. Just clicking an ability would be cheap. IMHO.

Yea, but as it is melee builds can dump more points into extra stuff such as exp bonuses. I mean yea, I've trained 9 ability points..yet at lvl 49 I have all my auras, items, shield, cure, all mp tanks, all hp tanks, maxed out weaken and maxed out exp bonuses...and still have 4 points sitting in the sidelines for next level. Melee builds are gonna be the ones that if they had all ability points trained they'd have extra to waste, and I personally think he can add something else to make it a bit more exciting for us. That said, he probably already has such ideas planned for 0.4.0 and isn't letting on (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

Edit: Also, I know that I could put points toward overcharge boost, but the little increases I would see at this level wouldn't be worth it, so the exp bonuses are more appealing.

with 9 monsters in a round it's not so unusuall to get 3-4 items, but, damn, why is it always either multiple drop or completely nothing 5-7 rounds in a row?

@Tenb: will you please take a look at the cure variance? A previous HV update was supposed to reduce the range of cure's recovery, but since this update, a non-changing set of equipment has given me 300-650HP recovery. And it's not even like that's simply the range and rare outliers, I go 300, 550, 300, 630, 450, 550, 300, 615, 600, 450, 300 etc. I do hope you decide to go with the upper range displayed, but either way I think it needs some tweaking.

Also, you said interference would cause less YOUR SPELL FAILS JUST BECAUSE then before due to the proficiency penalty, but I'm getting stopped over and over again by Interference and it's only at 35. Could always simply be bad luck with RNG, but the amount it's still happening is killing me.

edit: and in case it wasn't obvious, 300-650 is a huge range considering my total HP and how much damage a skill can do to me.

yeah the overcharge boosts are a pain to train because of the requisite 3 spirit tanks, kind of have to buy ability pts in order to get a decent amount of them :|

There are some actual perks to having more spirit points, such as potentially more uses of Spark of Life and more damage from your spirit attack.

On that note -

@Tenb: I think if Spark of Life actually procs, we should receive a bit of the MP cost back. 20% of base MP + 30% of base spirit = painful.

Very true. That also reminds me how far removed I am from knowing what normal warrior builds face. I have +60% overcharge boost to ease the pain of whatever whack shit Tenboro throws at us. I should take them off for a bit to see how hard things really are...
