if ya think of pretty much any other random drop rpg, equipment usually fountains from the corpses of the dead. theres no shortage of crappy equipment, its finding the good pieces that takes forever.
it hurts me to say this part, but you could decrease the % drop rate of the nice pieces (phase, kevlar, and the the higher qualities as well, superior, exquisite, etc.) while increasing the droprate of equipment in general.

What concerns me is the low quality draughts & potions still dropping after dumping credit into loot quality bonus training, it will probably have to be maxed before that will happen (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)

Hell no. This is excactly what we don't need right now. Everyone's complaining about having too much useless stuff and this would only add to that. What we need is a certain assurance that we'll get something. For that to happen, we need something new, and not the old stuff warmed up. So, this. You might want to give it a read *hint*

If it's supposed to be a credit sink instead of a credit source, why bother even giving such a piddly amount of credits for an hourly, or any battle for that matter?
It's more of a slap in the face to give us pennies than if there weren't any to begin with.
NOTE: I don't really care, either way. Nine credits, ninety credits, it's all the same in the end.

QUOTE(Dndestroy @ Sep 7 2009, 07:15) DW with rapiers kinda makes it moot since the effect doesn't stack, and with a fairly decent one they'll be dead long before the effect wears off. I'd suggest something like a dagger with bleed in the off-hand cause of accuracy and parry.
I'm a battle mage DW a rapier and bleed short sword. It works quite well and is fun to watch when both bleed and pen procs activate simultaneously.

I'm really only mildly annoyed by the nerfs to my shields and cures, otherwise the update is logically fine with room for fine tuning. I can still clear all the current arenas on normal without too much difficulty, I can still hop into Cake to farm items to sell for a few extra creds, just a little sad my proficiencies are half as effective. The thing that's really bugging me are the higher levels when the difficulty suddenly jumps and the possibility of facing a Legendary come up. I'm sure as more of the lower- and mid-level people like myself approach this area, things will get tweaked because its mostly been the senior members who have distinct advantages that have reached those places.

With potions and lucky 2nd winds I can manage 30 rounds in cake grind, which, really, is about as much as my patience can stand at the speeds my fights occur at (takes over a minute once there are 7-9 monsters).
I don't mind this difficulty, but the rewards could stand a slight increase...I have +29% xp from training and post fairly regularly but Xp gain is still painfully slow compared to the effort put in. And I haven't had a drop in over 200 rounds.

QUOTE(Riot-chan @ Sep 7 2009, 02:38) Now don't get me wrong, I love the amount of effort you're putting into this, even though I'm fairly certain you laugh diabolically every time we start crying b/c the game got too hard. (DO OUR TEARS OF SORROW FEED YOUR SADISTIC JOY???)
It's so cute when someone figures this out for the first time.

Everyone knows Tenboro is a cruel, black machine that feeds on the blood and tears of the fallen. I could go on with the mythology, but I figure it'd either cause boredom or war.

When a new donation arrives in his Paypal inbox, lightning crackles, the lights flicker and he tents his fingers and in a Doctor Claw like voice he just says "good... good". I imagine there's a cat by his side too for effect.

@Tenb: I repeat my previous statement about cure: variance is huge again.
325 to 615, same round.
331 to 648, same round.

Tenb: To sum it up, credit rewards from battless could be a bit --- 25%ish higher. That would make the game much more enjoyable, but i guess you don't realy want us to enjoy it right? (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) 1 important change - make Barrier %based increase with profficiency. It is weak, but still ok if you knock off 20-30 dmg out of 300ish from Mini-bosses, but it is down right ridiculous if you knock of the same from Bosses that hit you for 1000 dmg when your HP is about the same and you have no way of protecting yourself. Basically if you meet Bosses now, all you can do is flee and i would love to have at least little chance of taking them on. Any chance of changing that? Right now only a few people with high enough lvl can do that and that is just not fair. And thought i would love to try taking them on, i haven't actually met one since 0.3.2. accept 1 miserably failed atempt in ring of blood. Where do i have to go to meet them? With Interference now penalizing magical proficiencies, It's is like saying: Don't use heavy armor!!! I fail to see the reason behind this cause as the game progresses it seems like heavy armor is the only thing that keeps me alive. Thanks for any comment. I'd imagine SNOWFLAKE is the cat, meowing gleefully alongside Tenb.

No, he finds new recruits. (IMG:[ gannonman.com] http://gannonman.com/image/Catdollarz_739856978.jpg) And he trains them while they're young.

Snowflake might be his catgirl wife. He always closes everything down when we're in the middle of Grindfesting so she can shop. >:(
