I agree. I'm going to have to insist that our credit bonuses are given back to us. Please, Tenboro, please do this for us! It's not fair.

I'm missing a couple thousand credits per day from my dawn event and I can't even train anything anymore because I have to hang on to the credits I've got stored away to buy expensive potions and elixirs. I'm barely breaking even in the arena and now it's even tougher. Some days I come up short from needing to go to the shop all the time to buy items and I cringe whenever I have to use a Mana or Health Elixir in battle.

I agree there should be some form of better credit earnings. The old bonuses were a bit much for some people >_> but earning only 30 or 40 credits after an hourly fight on Nintendo or Battletoads against three mobs is a bit small. Also, the fact that the arena clear bonuses are reduced to the entry cost after beating them 1 time is also a bit disappointing. Not that I can even get as far right now - I'm pretty sure I'm losing 1/3 of my battles right now, at least.

In the past 2 builds since credit bonuses got removed, the best way to gain credits WAS to play cakefest. Over 200 rounds, you'd get 500c in raw gains and anywhere from 500-5,000c in drops. I was fine with that.

Now, I don't even know. No % bonuses, no plate cakefesting, no nothing.

Couldn't we try %3 credits per aura slotted and see if that starts to work to everyone's advantage in alleviating the pain. I feel that would be a good starting point to just try out, something. Not some crazy amount to print the stuff and flood like crazy, just bring it back at least to a point that noobs like me maybe get a little something to bust out on a rainy day and highbies can stash a bit more away for those massive battle costs.

Even in WoW the good stuff was not free or cheap, even from your mates at the really high levels. Like bread... and water... or like a transmuting stone that needed like a bajillion ethers/elements or whatever.

Let's just start making a bunch of Fake Posts telling how we can now go on forever in Grindfest as Mages!!!
That way, Tenboro will be SURE to nerf the Wizards further in the next revision, and probably strengthen the Tanks in the process!!!

My recollection is that the big issue with credits bonuses was the Hath exchange laundering. I'm willing to live with the credit bonus applying to everything except GP conversion. With the adjusted rate, that should be no problem at all.

The problem was with that build having 10x the survivability. Welcome to the rest of the world that goes 10-20 rounds in Grindfest without items.

When the whole thing started, Tenboro kinda did the foot stomp thing about keeing your stats balanced so that you could handle everything. When equipment was introduced, that same type of attitude should have been taken. If you're balanced then when these changes happen, you only feel minimal effect and you can more easily adjust. Take off all the goddamn heavy armor and put on a feather cap and a some cloth underwear. You can still keep the Breastplate of Pure Mercury if you want, but you cant weight 950lbs and expect everything to go swimmingly.

I'm going full cloth and shield. 15 evade, 20 shield and 10 parry still not cutting the butter for me though. It's fun to just do 10 rds either 2handing or dualies, but it ain't cutting butter.

The ability tree was one of the major issues, certain members would reset their tree before mass GP > C conversion to get all the credit abilities active. If the Credit skills were applied similar to how the aura/item abilities and not reset, I would support this. Otherwise, I think mobs should drop a bit more gold, especially the minibosses and higher in random encounters. Only getting 30-40 credits from a 2 reg mobs and 1 Dalek seems a bit cheap.

hell, ya could have it on auras only, no abilities. and have it not effect gp/credit/hath exchanges to prevent money laundering so to say.

but even without that... yeah minibosses are stingy when it comes to credits. bosses too from what you say, although i haven't fought one yet.
