Would be nice to have changes on the yearly awards for the following years, either increasing the people rewarding from top 50 ones to like top 100 or so, or at least having the rewards work on a distributed fashion(which IMO makes much more sense than the current way of handling the rewards).

Getting to the top 50 becomes harder each year, so I believe it is the time for a change.

Maybe, but I think no. It's quite realistic for dedicated people to attain top 50. Also, more competition means people are more likely to work harder or to donate to get the reward.

I got 22nd on H@H from 30x adopt-a-servers, and there are many more cost effective ways of gaining ranks than AAS. AAS is the lazy way for lazy people (like me) and people who don't have computers (also like me) to contribute.
