I was going through the grindfest, on cake no less, when an amphibious sperm whale's spirit bar emptied. I looked through the log and found it had hit me with an attack called ambergris alert.

So apparently there is more to worry about in longer battles and a bit more info for the wiki.

Edit: And now a mutant peacock just hit me with soul peck.

as far as i know, only those two regular monsters have spirit attacks. they were added in with 0.3.4 i think or sometime after

They were added 2 days ago. Regular mobs will be getting their own sooner or later :\

it lookes like now none of usual mobs have it. but some of their casts deals spirital damage, but they speng their mana for it

Soul Damage is not exclusively Spirit Attacks, seeing at level 100 you get "Magic Attacks" that inflict Soul Damage.

Peck and Bukkake use spirit points and in bukkake's case deal soul damage, but that's nothing new, and it isn't the same as an attack that uses up the entire spirit bar.

Neither are spirit attacks exclusively soul damage dealing. Tenb said they would likely be a different element than their normal skill.

Are you sure about that? Does this mean, when I'm faster than them building up a full bar, they are at least not going to throw a spirit attack on me? Wait, this could be changed next week.
