If the category is imageset, people can add it to the title, making it instantly searchable.

If the category isn't imageset, it shouldn't be here anyway unless it's a freely distributed CG set or a true doujinshi or series that appears on pixiv. Be glad such sets are even allowed at all.
They can still be marked if people know what they are doing. (There are several ways.)

There shouldn't be any distinction between freely distributed and paid imagesets. As long as they are galleries of images, they should be fine here and that's it. A gallery of miscellaneous pixiv images from an artist is just as valid as a gallery of miscellaneous images from an artist sold as a book on a Comiket.
I do agree that they should be marked as such though, preferably in their title. Something like "[pixiv/twitter/pawoo/etc] Artistname" is perfect.

Yeah, the latter part was because of some ancient rulesamajig made by some retired senior user that would void the title change in any other category.

I also added two new options to Advanced Search that allows you to temporarily turn off the Language and/or Uploader filters without dicking around in the settings.

Thanks, that's good. But I want to share some thoughts about one case.
I mostly browse galleries in two mode: showing all results and showing english only. Unfortunately, second one is achieved through adding "english" to search query. Fortunately, browser remembers form fills and many artist, parody, character and content tag queries have second variant with "english" in one click away, but it only works for queries that I searched before and I need to keep all those form fills saved in browser and not purge it.
I think ideal solution to this needs three things:
— ability to hide original japanese galleries in Excluded Languages settings (right now this checkbox is inactive, you can hide anything except original japanese)
— ability to reverse newly added option in Advanced Search. Right now it's this: you have some Excluded Languages settings that apply by default and you can temporarily turn it off for search query. Reverse algorithm would be really convenient for my case: you have some Excluded Languages settings that's disabled by default and you can temporarily turn it on for search query via one click in Advanced Search options.
— and third, not that important like previous two, but to be even more ideal: setting to have Advanced Search options expanded by default and hiding them via click, instead of collapsed by default and showing via click.
With this I could do this: set Excluded Languages to hide everything except english, but disabled by default. And enabling it for search query via checkbox in Advanced Search, not via manually typing "english".
Even greater for people who want to see several languages that they know and switching between this and "show all". I occasionally search for russian too, but original translations from japanese are rarity, most are translated from english (and bad quality), so it's not really important for me (and even if I needed it more frequently, I still need to make another distinct query for this now, cause "english or russian" is not possible).

If second thing is not possible, please add the first one at least (ability to hide original japanese galleries in Excluded Languages). Then it would be possible to set "hide everything except english" by default and temporary disabling it via Advanced Search. Less ideal, but still better solution to my case than what is possible right now.

All your filtering desires (including effectively "or" searching for English or Russian) can also all be achieved with that, client-side

setting to have Advanced Search options expanded by default and hiding them via click, instead of collapsed by default and showing via click

Add '&advsearch=1' to URL, also easily achievable via client-side scripting

Rather than solving the problem, you are putting tape on cracks. Why are you letting idiots upload pixiv updates in the site and flooding it instead of banning them? How about introducing standards/regulations in this site? But then again, you won't really care if you waste tens of terabytes of space since you can afford getting new servers anytime.

It started with samples, then pixiv updates, what next? Twitter updates? Maybe Pawoo or Nijie uploads?

Standards definitely seem to be slipping much like the boorus since like 2015 when really shitty new uploaders started to find too much time on their hands clearly. I ultimately found workarounds for that involving clever usage of adblock and the better better booru javascript to get the content I want while cutting out all the shitty multi-uploads of the same picture and over-favoring certain tags (I guess just cause they're popular on pixiv and twitter) that just clog up so many pages with crap.

What E-Hentai ultimately needs going forward is a feature to just block certain tags entirely like the booru sites have. Like say you aren't into scat or something, add 'scat' tag to the blacklist filter and then none of the galleries with that tag ever show up for you in searches. Also say you really don't care for a certain parody tag and find the content from that pretty crap on average. Same thing just add that character or copyright tag to the blacklist and done. I'm legitimately surprised this feature doesn't already exist but one to block entire uploaders does. It almost works and is a step in the right direction with the uploader blacklist feature because there's a couple noticeably really shitty prolific uploaders much like the boorus have where just blacklisting them solves half the problem but it's still as some say a small band-aid on an open wound type of fix.

Right now my strats for cutting down on the clutter are to turn off every language but English and Japanese, making the cutoff score anything below 4 stars (of course the problem here is I'm relying on other people's standards of quality to come in line with mine which isn't always the case) and to apply the uploader blacklist tag to one user in particular and indeed half the problem solved right there but I still find myself scrolling past trash to get to the good stuff fairly often. Hopefully the e-hentai team plans to work on a tag blacklist feature eventually to complement this one. If they can do it for uploader tags I know they can implement it for general tags.

Is this what happened to the boorus like danbooru? Like I said it got really fucking noticeable since about later 2015 with people just stealing official art right off of homepages and uploading it or uploading minor edits of the same debatable quality of image like 20 times in a row sometimes taking up an entire fucking page or more. Better Better Booru was an absolute godsend in getting around this with it's endless pages feature among others. Tag Blacklist got rid of the shitty tags I didn't want to see, adblock stopped them from appearing in the sidebar all crossed out and useless and better better booru with endless pages made it so that the space they would have taken up is just removed and the next available picture is just moved up in succession to take it's place and I just scroll like I'm looking at a feed and it auto loads the next page below. The fact that it took 2 chrome extensions and an internal blacklist feature to get around uploaders increasing lack of standards though isn't lost on me.

I also really have no problem with people transplanting pixiv or twitter sourced mages to other websites like booru's myself, just like people could stand to have SOME fucking standards in terms of image quality and whether it's already been uploaded several times already or not. Just because it's a popular tag or whatever on pixiv/twitter doesn't mean you need to drown another websites users in it if the artist clearly put minimal effort into a particular image or set of them. I think that's fair.
