Persistently bad uploaders get you down? Are they only uploading low quality shit that drowns out all the things you like? Are their fetishies not your fetishes? Are they a curse upon civilization itself, fated to bring down everything that is good and magical? Or do you just really hate bananas? Well, fret no more! You can now add their name to the new "Excluded Uploaders" list found in My Settings to (mostly) purge their very existence (at least as far as you are concerned) from this site!

Less verbosely: adding someone to the new Excluded Uploaders list will now prevent their uploads from showing up for you on the front page and in any searches.

I also added two new options to Advanced Search that allows you to temporarily turn off the Language and/or Uploader filters without dicking around in the settings.

The two advanced search things are great, disabling and re-enabling language filters was a huge pain in the ass.

Will there be a yearly top 10 to shame celebrate the most filtered uploaders?

Rather than solving the problem, you are putting tape on cracks. Why are you letting idiots upload pixiv updates in the site and flooding it instead of banning them? How about introducing standards/regulations in this site? But then again, you won't really care if you waste tens of terabytes of space since you can afford getting new servers anytime.

It started with samples, then pixiv updates, what next? Twitter updates? Maybe Pawoo or Nijie uploads?

For the same reason we let easily offensible idiots post on the forums, i guess.

I don't see how this feature would be very useful except as a means to shut up the whiners from generation Z. Like only 1/60 of Mikol's galleries interest me within my feitish (because they're samples or rule crudely drawn rule 63s), but I'm smart enough to glance once to see what it is, and then ignore it. Every once in a while he uploads something I want, and if I banned his uploads from my searches, I might end up buying and uploading the same exact thing. When I want to weed out most of the trash I just search by star ratings anyway.

Yeah I dunno, I feel like this is just a bandaid more than a real solution to the pixiv uploads we've been getting. I still think the category rules should be changed at least to an extent.
