Usually i notice it when they start dropping, that they didnt start doing that and 10bo didnt made a post means that it didnt start now and until 10bo dont start it, it wont happen. It is as easy as that.

23 distinct and 8 duplicates. I finally managed to trade three yesterday which took me over the line. From what I had read, I had assumed I just had to wait until Dawn the next day, which was an hour ago.

The threads I found all disagreed on what other factors trigger it. I suspect most of them are superstitious heresay.

Yes. All I see are Flee, Scan, Fus Ro Dah, and my weapon skills.

Yes. It was 30 hours since I negotiated the trade. I did not receive the figurines until this morning.

Is there that big of a gap between Nintendo and IWBTH levels? The reason I'm asking is because I'm able to pretty much breeze through Nintendo for Arena battles, but as soon as I switch to IWBTH, I ran into issues like being dead before I can even buff myself properly in the first battle. Just want to ask if this is normal or am I doing something wrong? :/

You probably did something wrong. Start your buffing with defense buff, like protection and regeneration. Not that you were, but starting with Heartseeker is recipe for disaster. Well, unless you already have your buff autocasted.

Well, even when i dont really remember myself, but IWTBH was once the highest difficulty, so i wouldnt be suprised, that it is actually quite a jump. Btw, dont we have any more information about the difficulties? Couldnt find anything in the wiki except for pfudor, but somehow i remember i did read somewhere more info about each difficulty. Here's how I begin my runs:

1. Use all 3 draughts.
2. Buff Spark of Life -> Spirit Shield (Just got it) -> Regen -> Shadowveil
3. Get into spirit stand as soon as I get 3 solid orbs of overcharge.
4. Kill "dangerous" mobs that I know hurts a lot.
5. Finish buffing the rest of my buffs.

I'm currently using 1h/shield with heavy armors.

Heartseeker is probably the last thing I buff unless I get a channeling buff somewhere along the line (it costs so much mana (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)).

The thing is it's now 2 runs straight in arena battles (To Kill A God and New Wings) where I get killed in the first battle when doing it under IWBTH, with multiple mobs throwing spells at me that I didn't even have a chance to heal and recast Spark (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/mellow.gif)

My gears probably just sucks :/

I recall there being a Battletoads difficulty level between Nintendo and IWBTH. Since Battletoads and IWBTH were used less than the other difficulties, they were combined. So now the jump between Nintendo and IWBTH larger than it used to be. I didn't find the jump that difficult. That said, I could not survive it for long without Supportive and Deprecating spells.

1. Didn't it used to increase both the chance to Critical Hit and Critical Damage?

2. Why can't it be selected as a Hath Perk?

Now that you mention it, i remember something like that. That really has been such a long time. Iirc i myself did never play on that difficulty. The game has really change since i did start playing for the first time and now i really feel old. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

As Hath Perk? Do you mean why you cant set it in a auto cast slot? (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif)

I'm not certain of / verified the accuracy of https://ehwiki.org/wiki/HentaiVerse_Settings#Challenge_Level other than PFUDOR, but the jump from Nintendo -> IWBTH shouldn't be that much more than Hell -> Nintendo.

Also, are you using protection or have any Innate Arcana? Will likely help, perhaps Flame Spike Shield too (albeit much less; I'm not sure how constrained you are in ability point usage at your level).

What are your gears and such? Are you certain that their condition are all above 50%? (I remember when I was lower level I died a ton of times due to forgetting to repair)

If you're still having difficulties, perhaps try using Silence (if it's the special attacks that keep killing you) or Weaken.

Not sure if this applies to lower levels in clearing higher difficulty arenas, but when I was having a harder time with PFFEST I started using Haste as well (more time to react/cure/potion). Do note that it will take a lot more time to kill / finish things though (especially in regards to maintaining overcharge), but then again, if you die / can't complete without it, then it technically takes an infinite amount of time.

Well, since items are 0 action speed, so I figure I might as well just cast them first because it has no negative impact (other than maybe wasting the first few ticks).
