Are you sure this is actually affected by prof? I just checked and i can read something about cast time boni from prof in the abilities.

proficiency reducing cast time has been a documented mechanic for many years, i doubt it wouldn't have been debunked by now if it didn't exist. you won't find it in info on abilities because it's inherent to the magic system rather than something user activated

I think niten can be faster than 1h at the arena (non-SGs), but that's all... .-.

Niten prices are reflective of being like... fantasy collection pieces for very rich players.

I think most likely it is the weakest of styles for pfests and IW100s.

at that level it doesn't matter what style you are using.
2h isn't better,
Niten is weak on fest or IW, but faster than DW (using deprecating spells or frd).
If you don't want to be "weak" just pick a shield and don't look back =)

At your level you can probably find something in the free shop. As a matter of fact, you probably can't find anything for sale around your level.

yeah, that could totally work. Still needs a lot of forging, and still not as good as LHOH holy, but you'd be playing holy nonetheless.

I am playing holy mage now, supportive proficiency is much more than my wind mage, the duration of Regen and Arcane Focus has increased a lot but the duration of Haste and Protectionhas not increased.

Well, actually i would say it should increase the duration. But lets be sure, my support prof is higher than yours and my haste has a duration of 70 rounds without and 105 with channeling and protection of 210 without and 315 with channeling. And what are your durations?

Pretty much, performing such move in high heels on the ground. That describes niten in hv perfectly.
Scenes with cherry petals scattering around everywhere are absolutely mandatory, though i hope she got good ankles. -_-;

the increase from proficiency caps out at a certain proficiency level, depending on spell. the reason you're seeing increases on regen and arcane focus but not on others is that those two have a higher cap

Because i had just recently a decrease in the used mana upkeep of protection and spirit shield and i didnt changed anything in my stats or equipment that could affect these costs i am not sure this is actually true. Or when it is, that certain prof level is for spirit shield and/or protection a bit higher as one he could have reached by now.
