I can't seem to get Live Percentile Ranges to work. I keep getting Request Error: Response code of "0" Is there something I'm doing wrong?

Hi! I have some questions regarding Hollowforged staffs.

Firstly, why are many staffs requires only IW9? Isn't the original elemental strike kept as well?

Secondly, suppose there is a perfect roll of Legendary Ethereal Oak Staff of Heimdall or even a peerless one. What happens if one Hollowforge the staff to get a holly strike? The only down side here is a huge expected cost.

Any comments?

Strikes are all physical damage. They only apply to normal attacks.
For mages, who deals damage by casting spells instead of normal attacks, IW 10 is useless.

For mages IW 10 is useless.

HGW is HGW. You dont get one more just because the HGW Staff has better stats.

You mean together with a perfect IW? No, the downsides would be a waste of a lot of credits, the waste of a lot of time and all this for absolutly no benefit on a staff that is only HGW.

Just to clarify these things a little more:

Like Stu said, you can't get hollowforged on an eth weapon. The Hollowforged effect is what weapons with elemental types get at level 10 automatically, instead of a 2nd elemental strike, and it converts their damage to void-type (and adds the void strike).

A weapon that naturally has an elemental type (ie, a Tempestuous Rapier etc) has a bonus to spell damage of its type, but getting an IW10 extra strike doesn't add this bonus for that strike type.

These two effects are why it doesn't matter to mages whether their staff is level 10 or not - it would only enhance their physical hits. (And also why eth staffs are near worthless)

I see. I confused myself as I took the elemental strike as the elemental damage bonus. Indeed only MDB and EDB matters so the physical damage roll does not matter at all for spells. Luckily I am not planning to play mage soon to make all kinds of silly mistakes.

Ugh, got 1100 hath and looking for enhancements to get the most out of one run of PF DWD.

If you don't have the deprecating prof perk yet I'd get that. Imperil helps a lot in DWD.

It does. But enough that there wouldnt be a much cheaper solution? You know like train a level of assimilator and use imperil more often in normal battle to train it? I mean 1k Hath? That is worth more than 4M.

So I decided to come back to HV after years of taking a break from it. How are my stats and set up so far? Going 2 hander + light armor until lvl 200. I barley know what I'm doing but it feels like I'm pretty much breezing through some of the harder difficulties. 26.9% stun on my Mace of Slaughter feels like I'm cheating, I love it.

My only issue so far is I don't know what other skills to invest into, what you see in the pic is all the skills I have so far. I read the wiki but I didn't really understand or see the need for some of the other skills it recommends.

I haven't touched anything Forge related other than repair and the only battles I do are Area and Ring of Blood if I have the tokens.
