Someday I'll do this test, but using a Rapier. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) However, I can tell you that 5 Power Protection (or even 3 Protection and 2 Warding) are enough for a comfortable run.

I second that but i add that a bit of forging is necessary.

QUOTE(Uncle Stu @ Mar 12 2019, 14:36) So do i get that right? It is suppose to be part of a defensive set you want to have befor start getting a slaughter set and this is the best armor you can come up with and also your second of warding for that defensive build that is suppose to be for PFest?
yeah, pretty much but now I think of it maybe I shouldn't waste my fragments however, I don't know if I will ever soul fuse anything... maybe you often want to soul fuse something under your level when you are 500 I guess? here are my armors for each kind: My balance: Legendary Zircon Power Armor of Balance (my first Jug5 Cap5) My protection: Legendary Amber Power Armor of Protection (My first Jug5 Holy5) My warding: Legendary Savage Power Armor of Warding (My first failure Jug4) Replacement: Legendary Savage Power Armor of Warding (My nth failure) What I originally thought was that it seems to be a pretty good armor for being defensive while still having adb, and it isn't like slaughters which are worth millions, also atm everything else I'm wearing is protection so I guess a warding suffix should be suitable in my case? (I know you are using 2 warding + 3 protection but just wondering if all protection works better in some cases... my shield is also protection) Now I think of it, I do have the materials to forge them, so maybe forge a slaughter set is a better option... (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/mellow.gif) Okay, all you person who all the time tell people to never soulfuse anything. I. Hate. All. Of. You. And mouisaac. The armor is good, great imo actually, if you want to use it. Soulfuse it. If you dont want to use it. Dont soulfuse it. And personally i would suggest for a defensive build a mix made of 2 warding 3 protection. And when i look at the attacks that still can be dangerious to me. Well lets just say 9 from the last 10 times i got killed. The attack was casted not used aka it was magic, therefore cant i see why a full protection set could be better in any case. And yes, i know that it does look like physical damage a bigger number when look at the whatsitcalled lift of monsterbation. But that is just from nearly all monster have one. So overall there are much more physical attacks going your way than magical. But after reaching a certain PM, most of them just let your armor sparkel a bit.

Well, that depends. When you play 1H i would say the ideal IW would look like Butcher 5, Fatality 3 and Overpower 1. At least that is what i would going for. When you play DW i would say overpower is much more important. Swift Strike is imo useless no matter what.

In case you're interested: With an optimal build (i.e. level 500) and optimal equipment (i.e. all peerless max forged), that should be ~96,5% physical avoidance and ~83% magical avoidance. ~98% physical and ~90,7% magical if you also decide to use evade. no, increments of 5% after the first level, the perk shows the total

What's the ideal armor set fow DW? Is it a full shadowdancer set or a mix? If it's mix, what combination would be the best?

Depends on purposes? For straight damage, it's full savage shadowdancer, but if you were going for pffest I think it would be excusable to use piece or two of negation for the resist chance. It's even less one-size-fits-all than 1H+heavy, since surviving pffest is so difficult for light armour users. Actually, I just wiped somewhere in the 900s in an iwbth fest... (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/anime_cry.gif) It's hard to get data on this cause there's pretty much zero endgame DW players, at least of those who do it as their main style. Damage is fine (can feel a little behind in some situations, but frenzied blows is undeniably excellent for single target or small groups) but surviving is not very good.
