So that much hp is left on monsters after I cast t3, which I think is REALLY BAD. Right now my proficiencies on staff and such are crap, so hopefully they can save it. Until then, maybe I should try to clear arenas on Nintendo or something to gain proficiencies I guess? Right now I have two cotton pieces due to lack of prof, but will change the cap with a radiant phase once I get enough prof. Not sure if that can save this crap set tho lmao

- Get 200% accuracy.
- Forge spell damage for your staff.
- Use featherweight charm for your staff.
- Replace your cap with phase. Magnificent plain prof cotton is just crappy.

Edit: Mage have to use bulks mana potion.
I use 150~180 mana potions for a GF.
Daily arenas takes similar amounts.

From the screenshot your prof factor is 0.742. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif)
I think you can have 0.65 prof factor without cap. It's quite decent.
You can saving some mana potions if you use aether shard but I will suggest you trying to forge your clothes and staff a bit.
Also do you have your equipment soulfused?
The impact of level scaling is non-negligible.

Ugh, without the cap it's 0.512. And I've forged staffs to mdb50, prof 35, and cotton glove to prof 35. Since this is temporary I didn't want to spend too much forging it. I guess I could ask around to get my staff and prof piece max forged, but would it make a substantial difference as I already have some amount of forging.

~1.4 evade chance is significant I would say.
I remember I had 18000~20000 magic score at your level.
Skill multiplier for spell is great so 1MDB for mage is far heavier than 1ADB for 1H.
~60 level distance is way to large.
You cannot expect anything if you don't put minimum effort.

Your problem is mostly proficiency.
With 2+3 you are lacking EDB while with 4+1 you are lacking proficiency.
How many base proficiency/Assimilator you have, and do you have proficiency perk?
I can forge for you if you want.

Having Assimilator at least 5~10.
With that you can easily grinding your proficiency to ~1.05times of your level.
Soulfuse your proficiency stuffs.
After these you can have ~0.623 prof factor.
Not very enough, but great improvement.

Thx! I think I'll soulfuse my prof stuff after I send it to you for max forging on prof. As for the staff, maybe it's a better idea to just get a better one - not an endgame gear but still something more decent, idk. Since my heaver armor, 1h prof are around 430, I'm hoping to get my elemental/staff prof to at least around that. Anyways, thanks a lot!

In my experience, starting mage is quite hard. You can't expect to get it going in a week. Keep up the good work, keep building up proficiency, collect better gear, forge, level up. When you are lv 400, you'll see that you are blasting them monsters to oblivion. Just don't expect a quick fix.

By the way, is it normal that infusion and scrolls equipped not show up on battle? I started out with full phase and like ~0.15 prof factor (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)
I have one cotton prof piece now but still, prof factor at 0.590

I can do DwD, but I do use suffused aether and infusions.

If I go into a high pxp IW it's fucking TOUGH.
My staff is Redwood and I had no luck when forging the staff (got economizer 5 archmage 3 ~_~)
I wanna send my staff to an IW service, but I also wanna grind my prof...

Anyway, I would **not** recommend a high pxp IW. That shit destroys you.
Might be better for you cause you have willow and CR, but god damn. I end up using infusions, suffused aether, draughts on cooldown, potions on cooldown, elixirs, last elixirs. Shit, some rounds I just leave one mob alive and spam defend to get the cooldowns back for the elixirs (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) and then still fuckin die. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)

At least arenas work great.
Haven't tried DwD without aether, but I think it shouldn't be a problem.

lolol right now I can't even handle pf arena well so I probably won't clear IW with mage gears. I actually might swap out my current staff with a redwood staff because willow is meaningless as I'd never do iw/pffest with this crap staff.
I think I'll just stick to arenas for a while, and try pffest only after I get very decent gears that can get me clear it under 10k turns. Not gonna grind it for 3 hrs lol.

What's your stats like on cold mage btw?

Cotton pants have fully forged prof (and magically got jug5 (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) somehow)
Shoes forge 4 on everything.
I also have a peerless cap with 5 forge, but I sent that off to Kadokura for jug5.
It was a bit easier to clear with that cap, but not by much.

I'm still 51pts of proficiency away from finishing the grind.

Going to 1H from being a mage tough...
I was a holy mage back in the day when there was no power armor, or force shields...
I came back with like almost no proficiency in 1H/heavy.
And I went straight into PFUDOR with like loaned gears and some freeshop shit. A couple magnificent, most Exquisite pieces. None slaughter. Even rapier was illithid lol.

No problems clearing at all.

Your equipment is very good but seems you are lacking Pen5 on your staff.
PFU is totally not playable without it.
And if you soulfuse all your equipment I think your can have at least 1000 more magic score.
