Yes, I do use HP potions (item 4) before even using Cure, because:
1) Zero action time
2) Better wasting them that way rather than bazaaring them

That setup allows a mage to greatly boost his recovery speed.

Your specific mitigation reduction will be(prof factor^1.5)*50+imperil(40 for elemental, 25 for holy/dark).
Monsters have initial specific mitigation with -50% or -25% or 0% or +25% for every element.
With full crystal upgrade they will be +37%, +50%, +62%, +75% respectively.
So for elemental, you will need ~0.7884 prof factor to wipe out all specific mitigation.
For Dark/Holy, with imperil you need ~0.8182 for +62% and 1.0 for +75%.
Since your effective proficiency is capped at your level*2, max prof factor will be 1.0 and this is counted as 50% mitigation reduction.
It's also the requirement for non-imperil dark/holy.

Yea so even if it can go max to 75%, it doesn't necessarily mean that you'd have to wipe out everything since not every monster is going to get to that mitigation. Just wanted to confirm there's no significance in the number '0.68' itself. Nice nice, but nevertheless it's a good number to aim for.

It`s some kind of outdated, taken from the times of early version of script. I`m not sure if the original script had such an option. However, I use it still. Cheers.

Legendary Arctic Willow Staff of Destruction
Legendary Arctic Redwood Staff of Destruction

The redwood has significantly higher EDB, slightly higher elem prof, and slightly higher INT....
The willow has counter resist, barely higher MDB, and slightly higher WIS....

I kinda want the counter resist...
Then again I'll get some CR from IW.

I'd also have to reforge the staff (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

I vote for the LARD, just because I know that that works. I haven't tried cold willow, but it looks weak.

So I'm gonna try out maging. Hope this works at least for arenas...Any things to keep in mind playing as a mage as opposed to 1H heavy? Also, I'm considering unlocked the fourth slot on the IA, what should I put in it as a mage? Do I keep the first three slots as they are (sol, ss, protection)?

Thanks! Any other buffs that I need to keep on as mage except for those and arcane focus? I guess I just don't use protection at all?

You cast it manually. Also, do you have all potions and elixirs ready?

I think I have some, but they are necessary even for arenas?? Not trying to do pffest or pf iw with my current set.



So that much hp is left on monsters after I cast t3, which I think is REALLY BAD. Right now my proficiencies on staff and such are crap, so hopefully they can save it. Until then, maybe I should try to clear arenas on Nintendo or something to gain proficiencies I guess? Right now I have two cotton pieces due to lack of prof, but will change the cap with a radiant phase once I get enough prof. Not sure if that can save this crap set tho lmao

- Get 200% accuracy.
- Forge spell damage for your staff.
- Use featherweight charm for your staff.
- Replace your cap with phase. Magnificent plain prof cotton is just crappy.

Edit: Mage have to use bulks mana potion.
I use 150~180 mana potions for a GF.
Daily arenas takes similar amounts.

From the screenshot your prof factor is 0.742. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif)
I think you can have 0.65 prof factor without cap. It's quite decent.
You can saving some mana potions if you use aether shard but I will suggest you trying to forge your clothes and staff a bit.
Also do you have your equipment soulfused?
The impact of level scaling is non-negligible.

Ugh, without the cap it's 0.512. And I've forged staffs to mdb50, prof 35, and cotton glove to prof 35. Since this is temporary I didn't want to spend too much forging it. I guess I could ask around to get my staff and prof piece max forged, but would it make a substantial difference as I already have some amount of forging.

~1.4 evade chance is significant I would say.
I remember I had 18000~20000 magic score at your level.
Skill multiplier for spell is great so 1MDB for mage is far heavier than 1ADB for 1H.
~60 level distance is way to large.
You cannot expect anything if you don't put minimum effort.

Thank for your advice. Right now I'm clearing normal arenas on iwbth to gain some proficiencies lol. Even for this, higher arenas seem to require an elixir because I'm so weak (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) Maybe I should forge my max forge the staffs...Could you do some forging for me in that case?
