Some numerical standards on staffness would be quite appreciated (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) For instance, certain cutoffs for MDB and EDB, and something like MDB80 EDB20 vs MDB 60 EDB 60?

I think a willow staff of destruction with 70%+MDB and 20%+EDB is already very good.
You have to make compromise at a point because toppest things are really rare.

Cause I have a pretty decent 1h/heavy setup atm and I'm not struggling to clear stuff.
So I'm in no rush to get low grade mage gear, to upgrade to mid gear, then go for late game gear....
Does that make sense?

You can do whatever you want and yes your method will end up with lowest cost.
However I will still recommend players start maging as soon as possible after lv310.
It's just faaaaaast.

Yeah, I do remember the old days of maging...
Before power armor and force shields and imperil and prefixes and stuff.

Flying through rounds with a single AoE spell was awesome (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

But it's one of those things where I don't feel like I'm that slow atm (mainly cause of monsterbation) and I'd rather wait longer and get stuff for less monies overall, as opposed to diving straight to cheap mage for minor benefits.

It's like using a 720p monitor and holding out for cheaper 4k monitors instead of going for 1080p.
You know 1080p is better quality than your crappy monitor, but you can watch stuff at 720p without any problems.
It's only once you switch to 1080p does it become impossible to go back to shitty standard definition.
At that point, might as well hold out a little longer and get a decent 4k monitor.

At least, maging without Imperil.
I don't remember ever using Imperil back when I was holy maging.
Either it wasn't around yet, or it was like above lvl 250-300 or smth.

But yeah, holy/dark mage with no imperil was back then, what 1h/power armor is now.

Ah, yeah. The good old days when i didnt even dream of been able to get a hath perk that wasnt Postage Paid and the only hath i ever did own were those few from artifacts, only that those back in those times also could spit out other elixir like Mana Elixir. And when we still had this aura system and Grindfest and Crystalworld were two differen things. Good times, good times. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

Is it normal for REs to cost 15 stam? I swear the last couple days if they cost anything at all, it couldn't have been more than 2 stam... but just now I went from 51 to 36 after only doing a RE. Stam has been weird on me all day today. At one point I was a little over 80 and all I've done is 1 arena and a few REs, that I recall specifically - there might be 1x 20 round IW and 1 Grindfest, but nothing more than that.

RE does not consume stamina. At all.

Grindfest: that's 20 stamina when below 80.
Arena, depends on which one, but could 3 stamin.
You lose some more because double the cost above 80: 1-2 more
Then IW: 1-2 stamina.

Most likely that you haven't paid attention to the stamina all day.

That being said, GF and IW should be locked until 300 as a protective measure for newbies and maybe riddlemaster penalty not as severe.

I did the Arena hours before I did the RE. I hadn't done anything BUT that RE in hours. I'm talking like 6am to 2:40 all I had done is REs... and I was at like 81/82 when I did the Arena. I don't recall doing an IW or Grindfest today (I did them before going to bed last night, so they would could on "today") .. but nothing since I had > 80 - just REs.

Well, for newbies they have too few arenas so GF and IW are the only places to spend those excessive stamina and to level up to unlock arenas. At least that's what I did.

I did mess up on the riddlemaster the RE before the one I'm asking about. That's actually how it got so low to start with (but how it got within range to be in the 50s due to a missed riddlemaster, I can't explain - I've only missed 1 riddlemaster today). How it went from 51 to 36 is the question. I didn't miss a riddlemaster for that because there wasn't one on that RE.

Edit: To be concise, I stopped playing when I asked the question. I just went back in and it's showing that I still have around 30 stamina. I did another RE and it didn't take any stamina. If I can't explain how I got so low to begin with, then I can't plan ahead. If what is said above is true that you can't go below 80 until 50, then I can tell you that since hitting 50 I've only done 1 arena and REs. I've had 2-3 riddlemasters and I've missed 1... and my stamina is in the 30s somehow.
