QUOTE(ravenfrost123 @ Feb 19 2019, 22:55) Maybe I just got super lucky and a bunch of my monsters were in the same battle and someone decide to run away from a grindfest. I'll take it = )
That can't be. Only one monster per creator per round.

Because there is no void type magic. And no in the end it is not special at all. Every other element monster are either or strong against, but not for void. All monster have afaik just 0% void mitigation. What makes it okay, but imo not great. And because hollowforging at IW 10 it is not even something you actually need an ethereal weapon for.

I think, void should mainly be compared to slashing/piercing/crushing, not element, as those are what replaced by void after hollowforged prof on non-ethereal weapon (the elemental strike is still there, void strike complement to it, but it's piercing/slashing/crushing replaced by void).

And because at least after a certain level no one uses a weapon that is not ethereal or hollowforged i really do wonder what sense do the piercing/slashing/crushing mitigation of monster actually have.

So maybe everybody knew already, but it seems proficiency perks work like the DD perk instead of one-time increase.

But you dont have to know, only to read and the description of those perks speaks crystal clear of percentages.

for the sake of completeness??? (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) I think players under lv. 150 still use non-hollowforged weapon...

"Increases effective Elemental Magic Proficiency by 10% of your natural base proficiency."
This is the description and I think this can be interpreted as a one-time increase.

Ehm. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/huh.gif) No, it cant. Because nothing else work that way in this game, so there is absolutly no reason why it should be this way with those perks. This post has been edited by Uncle Stu: Feb 20 2019, 13:31

QUOTE(DJNoni @ Jan 17 2018, 13:08) It's 10% of the natural base proficiency that you have at the time. If your natural base prof is 550 because of raising it to above your level, then you'd get 55 extra from the perk. However, it's not that easy to get to 550. So it might be wise to make sure you have your required prof factor without any prof above level.
I tested this. Naked, I have 566 dark prof effective, and 514 natural base prof. And fixed the wiki
Well, I saw this as I was researching on prof perk, and I thought it warrants a clarification. So I asked Tenboro, and got the clarfication and wanted to share for the sake of it. Did I confuse anyone with wrong information? What's your problem lmao

A clarification about what? Noni is talking about prof factor for mages. They need a certain prof factor, please dont ask me how to calculate that, so that monster are no longer able to resist or so. And if something about this is wrong, well i am no mage.

"At the time" so I thought it only applies to whatever the prof you have at the time of purchasing the perk, so I wanted to know for sure so I asked Tenb and shared it here. Honestly if you think it's obvious then just walk away. I don't need you saying something I found a bit confusing is crystal clear to you. What does it add to the conversation anyways?

I want to ask mages. How many levels for SP Tank ability do you have?
AFAIK,
Spirit Draught & Spirit Potion-> SP recover not affected by SP Tank Spark of Life-> consume base SP, not affected by SP Tank Spirit Shield-> affected by SP Tank, more SP consumption if max SP is greater
So, in conclusion SP Tank is good for Spark of Life, but bad for Spirit Shield. Am I right? I am having SP Tank 8. If I want to use less spirit elixir for GF should I have more or less SP Tank? Or is it meaningless to concern about?

I would say it is, because SS and SoL both take percentages. This post has been edited by Uncle Stu: Feb 20 2019, 14:55

Why is Spirit Shield affected by SP Tank but not by Base Sp?

So SS is referring base sp? I think I am confused because after I reduced my PA and SP Tank level I take less SP damage. Thank you. This post has been edited by qr12345: Feb 20 2019, 16:51

According to the wiki,
"Spirit Damage = Base_SP * SS_AP_Damage * MIN( (Damage - Max_HP * SS_AP_Damage) / (Max_HP * SS_AP_Damage * 3) , 1)"
So I'd think increasing base SP does not really help because the SP spent scales proportionally with it, but since SP Tank increases the max SP by scaling the base SP instead of increasing the base SP itself, SP Tank should be beneficial.
By the same token, the reason why Suffusive Spirit is useless unlike VV or EE, is that it increases the base SP and that has literally no effect on neither SoL nor SS.
So I say you should level up SP tank whether you are mage or melee according to the wiki, but it'd be better for an actual mage to answer your question.
