Well but only 30% of attack damage comes from armor so I did see about a 10% increase from them. Not bad I guess~

Yea and the difference is pretty bad actually lol.
For non-ADB stats, first five roughly gives you 1.6% per forge count, last five gives 1.7% TOGETHER.
For ADB, 2.2% per forge count, last five 1.3% TOGETHER.

EDIT: I just did a quick rough calculation, and it turns out forge beyond 5 for power slaughter is not worth it before DD1. Interesting.
On the other hand, it's better to forge your rapier(of slaughter) to at least 4025 before DD1, for most adb for buck.
EDIT2: DD2 is worth getting only after fully forging rapier of slaughter and forging power slaughter to 30.

Wait so are we talking about 50k or 20k? IF it's 20k, it's about 30 hath per day which is somewhat reasonable, but if it's 50k, it's 120 hath/day. Doesn't one gold star only give you 9 hath/day? Do you run a H@H at home?

I'm running at ~95 hath per day on H@H atm, but it's slowly increasing.
So 95 x 365 = 34675
Plus the hath I have atm
34675 + 10000 = 44675
Daily hath is at 9 for cookies/GS
9 x 365 = 3285
44675 + 3285 = 47960

So that's 2040 hath short.
And as I said, my H@H is slowly increasing, plus I did say "a year and a bit" (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

Ehm, but you know that for the end result it does not matter in what order you do that right? I mean forge first or DD first, in the end you have the same damage. Yep you got it. It's a super rough and personalized estimation tho. For me my weapon constitutes about 15% of adb and a piece of power armor about 7%.

I think even if math-wise it's more efficient, it's definitely less work to just buy DD.
Your forge lvl might be too low, buying a ton of catalysts, bindings, mats....
Or just click once for DD
Plus, personally I feel bad about wasting mats for equip that's sub optimal.
Like, I forged my rapier (even though it's not that good), but it still feels bad to spend all those mats on something that I'll have to salvage anyways.
But DD doesn't care if I have decent enough gear that can be forged without worry. It's just DD

In general it's a lot more convenient to just DD if you have money upfront, but I guess given you have a equip you want to keep for a while, there's no need to save up for DD until you reach those forge levels.

Saving up and already have soulfuse worthy equip? Welp, forge is going to be better for you then.
Takes time to save up anyways, gives you time to search out good prices for mats (plus get some gifts from your mobs) and it probably will end up costing less than DD too.
