QUOTE(Saioux @ Feb 15 2019, 05:33) loooooool maybe I should just get a cheap one for now, hoping for that to show up sooner or later (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) Funfact: I did exactly the same when i got that drop. I made a bid in an auction for a iirc 70% rapier and just a few hours later i got my flashlight. The first and only auction i did ever cancel. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

QUOTE(Saioux @ Feb 15 2019, 10:31) On top of that, as least for me gallery viewing drastically reduced after playing HV....lmao
By the way, how doe DD stack? Is it 10, 10+15, 10+15+20 or 10,15,20. If latter is the case, which I think it is, isn't it shit-tier after the first unlock...
AFAIK it's the latter one... but I only unlock the first one so can't confirm it... QUOTE(Uncle Stu @ Feb 15 2019, 11:22) Ah, that selfdrop rapier is nothing special. It seems everybody gets one on his five year 1H anniversary. It is the later one. But imo everything after DDII is a endgame perk. When you allready done everythingelse to increase your damage and another level DD is your only hope to increase it more, you will go this road. I mean 5% when your damage is allready quite high isnt so bad when you think about it.

Yea I thought so. But I still find it funny that the efficiency is down to a quarter after DDI :/ Which might just mean DDI is a crazy good deal.

Curious how to earn so much credit? each arena give only 1000 per day, is selling of drops the major way? at my level, each equipment can only sell around 100-300 C, and i need to salvage most of them for material. by selling drops from boss in WTS?

All arena together give your a daily credit income of 190.502 credits on average according to my observations over two months. So each arena gives only 1000 per day isnt really a true statement. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/happy.gif) On PFUDOR, i forgot to mention this number is for playing on PFUDOR. Sorry. 1000c is the clear bonus, but the monsters you kill along the way also drop credits. When you reach 300 and can do all the arenas, by selling all equips, trophies, and credits that drop, it'll roughly come to at least 300k. This post has been edited by Saioux: Feb 15 2019, 08:00

You probably want to use the following scripts as well, if you aren't already doing so: MonsterbationHV UtilsEspecially Monsterbation is an absolute must. Also, at your level flat values matter more, so be sure to check the actual stats as well. Of course gear with better percentage will be better than another gear at same level, but if something has lower percentage but you loot it later so the level's considerably higher, it might not necessarily be the case. QUOTE(mouisaac @ Feb 15 2019, 04:35) Guess I have to patiently wait 4 more years to get a self-drop rapier so I can replace my fiery rapier...
Just how long do you think we've been playing to get our drops / purchase our equipment? You're complaining about getting nothing while you're power leveling and not doing anything to drop the said good equipment, so you can only blame yourself. PS: And it's not directed at you only.

QUOTE(AnonymouseTwoThirty @ Feb 15 2019, 03:56) Fair enough, but in my defense I've never heard of the MASO genre until today at least in terms gaming, I've heard of it being used as an abbreviation for masochist but that's about my experience with MASO...
HV is also a masochistic game, so that's not wrong either...

To get better drops, first you have to play a lot. Technically you don't have to, if you are willing to skip Dawns of the Day. This is similar to going into hibernation (although if you want you can play arenas while skipping Dawns and Random Encounters). But assuming you get Dawns and do Random Encounters, there's an Exp race between your grinded Exp versus Dawn Exp.
Second, to get better drops you have to level up as slowly as possible, relative to your amount of play. If you buy too many stars or do too much Adept Learner at a low level, you will powerlevel and you are less likely to have the time to gather decent self-drops for your level.
Third, you should always play on Pfudor but most people do this.
Fourth, if you selectively do certain arenas only you might increase your quality of drops relative to your speed of leveling, but I'm not sure which arenas are best for this. I think it's somewhat balanced out by the arena clear bonus equipment. Players below level 350 may consider avoiding School Girl arenas to level up slower especially since blackjac is AWOL.

Why do you have to skip dawn? Can you elaborate a bit on that? And blackjac's not here but treesloth's buying SG trophies at the same rate so there's no need to skip SG at least in that aspect. And if they want to level up slower, they may skip DwD but the other two give you less exp per round compared to round 80 and 100. Esp the second SG arena's completely trash in terms of exp gain.
Honestly tho, I'd rather power level and get decent equipments for cheap. At the end of the day, Charged Phase of Heimdall's gonna cost what it cost whether it's lv500 or lv300. If the price of a gear is heavily influenced by its level, it means it's not good enough.Decent self-drops do make you feel better, but that's about it.
Actually I think powerlevelling is better for loot, too. At lower level you can't even find good enough gears to soulfuse because it's so scarce. Powerlevel -> Better gear -> access to pffest/iw -> better loot

You make this and those other suggestions to a player who is Level 35? Are for real? (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/huh.gif)

lmao he probably meant something along the line of "always play at highest difficulty you can manage" I started clearing PFUDOR around 290ish I think. At 35 I'd assume one can hardly cope with Nintendo at best?

Well if you rarely or never bother killing monsters, and only do Dawns of the Day, after years you'll be a naked level 400~500 guy. There's a few guys around who are in this category. You can tell because they have fairly weak equipment, are fairly high level, and have stars.
This doesn't mean we can necessarily laugh at them, as some of the richest catgirls in this game are like this. Most of those rich low level catgirls are still level 0~200 though because they never killed any monster in their whole life. So uh yeah, some of the most powerful players in this game are ultra rich, but are naked and they don't need to mug monsters for a living like we do.
I never said power leveling was bad, I was just responding to others, and the recent discussion about wanting self-drops. If you power level you are unlikely to get drops, but you can buy what you want cheaper from others. Pfudor grindfest and item world don't innately get you better drops, but may help players who can clear all arenas easily in a day, and who want to play more (it also helps in racing Dawn Exp).
