about IW services, if I have time and stamina I tend to do it myself...
you get more exp and chance to get more drop afterall...
but if I feel unlucky with that eq, I will send them to IW service ASAP...

Hm, well i have never used an IW serve myself. I did everything myself but even if you would do the same i suggest search for someone with Dark Descent for reforging so save some amnesia shards. Also you dont need to do the IW on PFUDOR, if you do the whole thing on PFUDOR or Hell, does not matter for the end result. Btw i would anyway suggest dont do the first round on PFUDOR, the first round should allways made at most at the highest difficulty for unlocking two potencies.

Yea, I think the guys who do the service always start with IWBTH since PFUDOR gets you straight to lv3 and if it's fucked you have to shed out two shards even with the perk lol. Hell, I might give it a shot just to see if it's viable lol. I'll just flee if I think I'm gonna die lmao. Any consumables/infusions recommended?

EDIT: So I just did it. I think it's doable but I have to pay some attention lol, did it on a leg staff that I'm gonna salvage (why tf does it get penetration lv.3 straight lmao)

Second equipment is roughly a little bit better in every way, except the first one has fire mitigation. I just find it kinda tricky to take something as minor as fire mitigation into consideration when evaluating an equipment

I think the level of this equipment is very high. Not worth waiting to be able to do soulfuse. And as you have been saying that you want to make the transition to mage soon, I think it would be best for you to look for Legendary Protection / Warding / Balance, with a high ADB and a slightly lower level (<450). Do the IW of these parts (or use a service), make soulfuse, and a basic upgrade (level 5), or at most 13 levels (because Robust Catalyst is not that expensive). That will be enough until you get your complete mage set.

Level one here, I just wanted to ask what's the basic things that I should be looking into since I have found the wiki and this thread, but the fact I have zero experience with this type of MMO prevents me from knowing what I should be looking to learn, or prioritize doing.

Well, first i would say use only one sort of armor. Never mix heavy with light or cloth armor. Decide for the fight style you want to use. Dont invest chaos token into your monster but just use them to open up more monster slot. Without any more specific question that is all i can think of right now.

Thank you for the input <3. Yea actually I found a couple pieces around level 400ish, but the bigger issue is soul fragments. I honestly think it's a huge waste of money to buy them from bazaar, and I have barely enough to fuse a rapier of slaughter I'm gonna buy, then I def need a shield, which is even more urgent than the rapier, so yea.

I think I'm just gonna take it slow and go through steps one by one. I raced from 170 to 340 in a matter of three weeks, which, in retrospect, might've been too fast for my own good. On the matter of leg protection vs mag slaughter, I'd take whatever decent one with low enough level appears first, but if both are available I still think mag slaughter is better - in terms of adb, peerless non-slaughter<mag 0% < exq 100%, so considering the extra mitigation will be useless after a while, I'd rather get mag slaughter, which is I think actually cheaper - I've been seeing 80+% mag slaughter around 100k.

General tips on farming. Hm, well you should invest into the drop trainings to even get something to farm in the first place. Play on the hardest difficulty you are fine playing at to get more drops and more credits as drop. Do as many RE as you can, as you notice their pay off is quite good. Happy to be here, the link alongside me messing about with the game has given me most of the basic insight needed to proceed on my own now, but one last question in regards to the currencies since there's three of them, I imagine they have their uses, acquisition, and rarity, So, I just wanted a brief overview of them.

Credits is the main currency. You buy and sell nearly everything with it.
Hath is mostly good for getting Hath perks but some shops take them as currency or you could sell them for credits at the Hath Exchange.
GP has actually only one use in the game and that is buying tickets from the lottery.

Actually, it can also be used in gallery system to pay for archives download (and it's cheaper then using credits, at least at current exchange rate).
