Well, i dont know if it actually came from lottery, but at the beginning the equipment from the lottery was not soulfused. Soulfusing itself is iirc younger than the lottery.

b ) It's from pre-soulbounding era, when equips didn't have level (Lottery is as old as 0.77 patch), I can't find the lottery link anymore, iirc it was from lottery #0 (probably just a test), but lottery 0 can't be accessed anymore...

Fun Facts: Before our current iteration, lotteries weren't limited to Peerless and could generate Legendary equipments too... and before that, in its' begginings, lotteries could even generate Magnificent equipments.

No, lottery went live in 0.77 and could generate Mag equips, in 0.78 Mags were removed from lottery... don't remember when it become Peerless only (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif)

i believe sending MM to snowflake was disabled because people used it to "park" equipment so they could go over the inventory limit

Legendary Ethereal Rapier of Slaughter
And
Magnificent Ethereal Rapier of Slaughter

Now, say that all the base stats are exactly the same (i.e. a good mag and a not so good leg)

Which one is better?
Or are they the same?
Does a Legendary scale better with forge/levels?
Or if the base stats are the same, it doesn't matter at all?

Forging scales only with base stats so it's gonna be the same. Not sure about soulfused scaling, I'd to say the same because % ranges will stay the same at any level.

The total pool of stat points is lower for mag, so while you can have a mag with stats that you care about with the same or higher than leg values, you won't find a mag with all stats exactly the same, unless it's from a different version.

Make realistic hypothesis first, then we can talk. There's no way a Mag and Leg can have the exact same base stats everywhere.

Just to be sure, if % ranges levels scaling is accurate(I don't know any examples of it being wrong) level scaling on slaughter suffix is the same regardless of quality.

The wiki isn't up-to-date. The equipment database receives next to no new equipment records and some scripts have got hardcoded values.
There is quite a lot of work to do, and sadly there are things that are of an even higher priority than that, while I barely have time to do anything at all. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/heh.gif)

It's been a while since I payed attention to it. If the db is still updating normally from scripts there should be PSA somewhere that it should be trusted before anything else.
You could post full data somewhere, preferably in a table form, and let volunteers take care of wiki and scripts. Ideally, need a script that formats data in a way that can be copypasted to wiki.

I know the proper way to get updated stats for ranges safely, no worries. I also know who to ask for his tools to update the wiki, so that I can take care of it in his stead. The main issue is really that I don't have the time to do everything I'd like.

Super queries the equipment database to generate his own percentile data/cache BTW. I even remember helping him by designing the SQL queries to obtain the desired data.
