Is dampening more valuable than stoneskin and deflection because it's the weakest to crushing? Is it only for heavy armor or for other armors as well? I don't recall seeing specific mitigations strength/weakness for each armor type, but maybe I just didn't look hard enough

quick question, what's a good IW combination for 2W? for 1W it's always but4/5 fat 5/4, but for 2W do I need Over5? When is swift needed? probably not gonna play 2W in the near future but just want to IW it, although it's not even an estoc...

Is the stats too bad for this one? Thought most people only care about its adb? not familiar with how slaughters are valued.

Ethereal rapiers cost more because they are useful for dual wield.

And as we're always saying, that's complete bullshit. Non-ethereal+feather = 0.7 burden at most, 0 interference.

If infusions cost 200 credits each, I guess after 10000 1000 infusions you would be wasting credits. I guess that could be 1~4 years months of playing this game.

I've seen both endgame and temporary ethereal rapiers left at IW9 but I never did that with any of my own. My previous analysis was for endgame rapiers. For temporary ethereal rapiers, which most people don't give a perfect IW9 to begin with, the numbers change. Because a blind IW10 typically costs around 200k, while But+Fat=9 may cost up to 2m. So you can see it's a close call for both endgame and temporary rapiers.

Also don't forget, only people who always fight with infusions (and 2 infusions with IW9) should consider leaving an ethereal rapier at IW9. I can't say whether it's right or wrong, but many players including myself are too cheap to use infusions. Anyone who falls into this category should finish IW on an ethereal rapier no matter what.

I don't know if ethereal gets priced higher than arctic in general. My feeling is that they are similar but there is a lot of randomness based on who is bidding and their beliefs.

I think Butcher & overpower would work fine on a 2h, but I haven't played it myself.

That slaughter piece is very good. Lowish level, and highish ADB - it's a winner for sure.

Back when I bought mine long ago, my DwD time was abysmal, so I decided against using holy and dark all the time on it and went for iw10. Wouldn't have done it now, but reforging without dark descent is too expensive.

Honestly it's become more of a chicken race now lmao. I probably can't use it immediately because of the soul fragment you mentioned, will have to wait around for two weeks or three to gather 2500~ish soul fragemnts to soulfuse it.

I don't know about keep going with this bid, tho. I think I could probably get a decent leg SDE for half the price if I waited around
