I like them toothless, but this one still had a couple teeth left with really sharp ragged edges.

I see. Yea I guess at some point the double factor of STR in base damage calculation becomes somewhat negligible, while DEX increases both crit and parry

In my opinion: the higher your level the less trouble IW actually is and the more lasting it is as you don't replace your equipment that often anymore. For Uncle it's probably like going to the fridge.
I only have my weapon on lvl 10 and some other on level 6. I prefer to spend my limited time to arenas at the moment.

Summarize their worth (I don't remember right now), then divide 10,000,000 through that number and you should have the number of days it takes on average for one peerless.

It's more then the actual bazar price. As far as I tested I would say it's:
- 500 for Tail, Hand Granade and Flower
- 750 for Konatas lock
- 1.000 for the other SG trophies
- 5.000 for T-Shirt and above
- Nothing for Precurser Artifacts (?)
- Unknown for figurinies (not gonna test that ^^)

That means it would be better to do Triple Trio and the Tree instead of two FSM. Uncle means he does RoBs for 8 Tokens daily so let's say 80% of the TTatT rewards. With ignoring figurinies and SG you meet on the way it would roughly take you 140 days. Means you would get 2.6 peerless/year. You can't sell them but at least you can decide the catagory. No, i only go around twice per day to the fridge, i do much more IW just for some drops. Tbh i got in the last two days so many IW with three chaos token, now i really regret i didnt got Tokenizer III sooner. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

What's the probability of rare materials or bindings in a monster gift? The wiki has odds for each grade of common material, but I couldn't find the overall common/rare/binding breakdown. (I hope I'm not missing something terribly obvious here.)

If I were to get an ethereal rapier, is it viable to reforge until I get the right elemental attack, i.e. hallowed/demonic/arctic, or is it not worth it? If I were to throw in butcher5 and stuff I think it's probably not worth it but was wondering if anybody has ever done it

I've asked this question a lot of times. I think it's worth it to reforge ethereal rapiers for element, but only on a great legendary rapier, like 90% adb. Also you should be willing to accept a bit of imperfection, like But+Fat=8 to make it easier. In my mind, the cost of getting a But+Fat=8 plus Hallowed/Demonic/Arctic on ethereal is about equal to the cost of getting But+Fat=9 on an elemental rapier.

If you have a legendary ethereal rapier of lesser quality, it can still be worth it to reforge for element, but you should be willing to accept things like But+Fat=6. Or if you got But+Fat=9 and a bad element, you should probably keep it. If you have a legendary ethereal rapier of poor quality, you should just accept any element, or sell the completed rapier if you don't like it.

I'm not that fond of leaving ethereal rapiers at IW9 but it's not a bad idea. If infusions cost 200 credits each, I guess after 10000 infusions you would be wasting credits. I guess that could be 1~4 years of playing this game.

Ethereal rapiers cost more because they are useful for dual wield. Though they are still probably overpriced, which is a common trend to mention in this thread.
Holy+dark is the perfect combo for SG arenas, outside of that it doesn't matter much.
Don't forget base crit chance. Most of your damage comes from the stats and not the rapier, crit enhances all your damage, adb and butcher enhances only rapier damage.

And I saw you asking about shield prices, in my experience looking for perfect block is not the priority, because it's really hard to die as proper 1h turtle, and you can get a decent amount of str and dex from forged shield. Some people prefer dampening or warding over protection, because crushing spells is what hurts heavy armor the most.

As for the rapier, I've never looked at it that way, but it's an interesting perspective and probably right one too. As for infusion, I haven'd had a chance to do either IW or GF, and I think it'll stay that way for a while, so the only infusion I would do and that matters is for SG arena, so in a sense ethereal rapier at IW9 can achieve that so that's pretty good.

Wiki can tell that about material grades because they are bound to monster PL, but that is not the case for everything that is not material. In the end every single monster has the same chance to bring you a phazon from PL 25 to 2250.

Nope that is not the reason, because not that many player do actually play DW and not all of them even use a rapier. The real reason is that they are just totaly overrated.

Dont worry, for some things you just have to be patient. I mean in the meantime you can allready pile up some money to make sure, you will be able to buy it when one shows up.

Yeah, about that. Did you also think about that upgrade that rapier would sooner or later bring it up to IW 10? Because somehow i doubt you will be able to fully forge it just like that. I mean the BoS alone will cost nearly 10M. So do you still think this would be a good idea for you?

Even if I were to get an ethereal rapier, at least at this moment anyways, it's probably going to be something transitory, and I'll probably not spam binding of slaughter, if any, on it.

If time comes and I actually were to buy an ethereal rapier as an endgame gear because its other merits are too big to forgo just because it's ethereal, then it'll probably be either full forge upfront (IW9), or reforge until I get the element I want(IW10). As for the shield, I'm bidding for a peerless SDA right now, but I'm kinda at the limit (8m) and don't wanna spend more on it, I mean it's not even SDE..
