Is cold/fire viable at end-game? I (don't think?) I've seen people flexing their full fire/ice mage gear around. Plenty of the other 4 though.

define viable.
Cold/fire are just slower compared to wind/elec due to the disadvantage on staff. Arctic and fiery willow do not receive spell damage bonus from prefix, but choosing redwoods would lose all the counter-resist.

The difference in Arenas is very small I'd say. But for IW and GF, the difference becomes noticeably significant. If wind/elec clears a GF @7000turns, then cold/fire needs 7500t or more.

To conclude,
Generally, dark is the best for Arena-only-players. Dark has more potentials than elementals, which most players don't know at all.
Holy only good for rich players.
Elementals is more comprehensive. Much less consumables needed, faster casting speed making better survivability, less difficulty in reaching required profs. In contrast, wind/elec also the most expensive style right now.
Questions regarding imp and non-imp styles is another issue. There is crucial difference between imp and non-imp. Make sure you understand that before you start preparing for your mage.

But yeah, getting spark-bypass (blame me for my silly habit of using keyboard) frustrated me so bad that I added a pop-up specifically to stop me from killing myself >.> 2H is a bit weak with my current weapon.

My next goal is to get a good estoc that I can trust for arena :/ and finding a way to... not die, so ethereal Estoc/LS might be a must for evade.

I had to repeat this procedure several times in a row until the cookie appeared. And I also cleared the browser cache (ctrl + F5).

Also, I know soulfusing superior stuff is not advised at all but I wonder if it apply for some item with nice stats like Power of Slaughter like those:

I'm not that much on eh so I don't have a lot of RE to farm a lot of soul fragment.

But ... what about exquisites? (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) I browsed the WTS these past days and I didn't found Magnificient stuff around the level 230 or so. Should I be more patient and wait until I level up more?

Gains twice PxP at item world.

Cons:
A lot of people do IW10 for you for free at your level, you shouldn't be doing IW at all due to inefficiency and difficulty
You will most likely find better gears as you level up. Or the very least, can buy better gears - which you can resell to at least recover a good fraction of your purchase.
You lose soul fragments, though if you never soulfuse they're worthless anyway.
You lose the ability to sell it for some extra cash once it outlive its usefulness

Quick edit: Been (re-playing?) playing for a little over a week, was at lvl100.

So far, it does it's job Ok-ish. So if you want to IW10, upgrade and forget, it 'could' do for convenience. So, Exquisite would work, but not reallly recommended.

So what matters here is how long it'll be useful right? And it's quite debatable with Exquisites but with Magnificient it's insured to be useful.

In this case, I should wait for some Magnificient stuff. Maybe I'll just soulfuse my rapier since I'm having a hard time to find better.

Tbh that is even a contra to me. I mean imo best strategy to IW something is make the first round so that two Potencies get unlocked so that you dont waste an amnesia shards. twice the PxP means in that case you have to play on a lower difficulty as without, means less income. And when you have something to reforge 50 or more times, we allready talking about a few k i personally would like to have. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/happy.gif)

Exquisite have a soul bound price of 250, Mag/Leg is 500, so you might wanna consider that as well.

Magnificent gears should drop more frequently as you increase difficulty, and occasionally a legendary, but overall WTS and auctions should be a good place for gear scouting. Take a look at the gears there and their level first to get an idea of what gears you'll be seeing

Part of the first world, so her problems were "first world problems" and those problem were so big, so overhelming for her, that she killed herself, eleven years old. And i promose, the next person in RL who will come to me with this "first world problem" bullshit. Will regret deeply to use that therm. off topic end.

There's appropriate and inappropriate use for that term. Regardless, I don't think any sane person would use 'first world problems' to describe a suicide.

I used it to describe your problem: a mild inconvenience in what otherwise is considered a premium. That is not to say it isn't a problem, but rather it's a 'premium' problem. Considering how most of us down here struggles to even clear IW on low difficulty, I'd believe it's use is appropriate.

And i didnt had a problem. All i did make was telling my opinion about a cretain matter, in this case the PxP bonus of soulfused equipment and i did explain why i think about it that way. Did you notice the first sentence of my post? It was

Thinking about trying an experiment with 1h mage but want to check if it has already been done first.

So much time is taken in the imperil turns with monsters resisting that I'm wondering whether a cotton of curse-weaver might actually speed things up (likely not in terms of turns, but might be faster in real time as imperil takes more time per turn).

If it's worth a try, should I replace a cotton or a phase? My experience has been that 3+2 is better than 4+1 for 1h mage, which suggests that perhaps replacing a phase is better?

Edit: or maybe it would work better if I take proficiency cotton on robes and curse-weaver on gloves or shoes which allows for 3 phases?
