I recommend one to keep his AB training to roughly level/2. It's a very good balance.

Yeah, i second that, i have Ability Boost 58 and still 16 points free. Tbh actually even more because i didnt used haste and veil for a long while even the points are still set.

I just tried out some absorption scroll, wanted to test if i could use them to save some draughts, no big deal, but it would be nice if i could. And oh boy, absorption sucks. I mean it sucks so hard i really have to ask, why is this even in the game? Who needs this? No one because it sucks so hard it is not even good to save some mana points, not even as worthless scroll.

Yeah - it really needs a huge buff - like having a chance to absorb for a number of turns (without it disappearing after it procs) or the ability to trigger a set number of times before it disappears (perhaps through ability points).

I used scrolls, including absorption scroll, on rare occasion as a very low level struggling player from level 1 to 250 mostly. I don't think melee fighters will need them at higher levels, especially not 1H.

So it says so on the wiki, and I cancelled the training AL once to train Archaeologist, but I think it went through multiple times maybe because I set it on reservation for ten levels and kinda struggled to get it cancelled for sure. But then again I wasn't sure if I actually got my credits refunded cuz I wasn't keeping track of credits before cancellation, so then went ahead and cancelled again, to confirm it does give you a refund, and then bam, 24hr cd kicks in.

Maybe I should add it to the wiki but idk the exact condition behind it lol

If they make absorb auto-cast, it could be good.

Could anybody evaluate my statistics and primary attribute distribution? I'm doing 1H+Heavy build.
On wiki it says keep INT to 0.7*level, but do I really need to? I don't see the point of building INT.

My understanding is STR=DEX=END>WIS>AGI>>>INT, so I think I should put in some more points into wisdom for a while, but I don't know how much. Since my gears won't have any PAB for WIS, I'm kinda thinking I can just distribute them equally and the effective PA will be STR=DEX=END>WIS>AGI>>>INT. OR one other way is to distribute them so that effective PA of WIS and AGI = my level, and put everything else into SDE.

yeah you could stop increase your INT as it doesn't give benefit to melee...
as for WIS I read somewhere that the target is to get at least 100% magic hit chance at lv. 500 to make imperil more successful...
you also could keep effective AGI = lv. as 1H don't really want attack speed...
my base PA build is STR=DEX>END>WIS>AGI with 0 INT and I don't have any problem with my spirit...
some people like Uncle Stu does get more DEX than STR though...

I find 1H haste useful when you want to survive a bit more.

Well if something like haste would help you to survive what otherwhise would kill you, it is completly okay to use haste.

Yeah, i prefer the higher crit chance bonus and the additional parry that Dex gives you.

I'll be aiming for 150% magic accuracy for my part, so it gets to 200% with an aether shard and I'll have MMit at the same time.

Yeah, it will be enough, the bonus of haste is just so much bigger, that those few percentages agi could give you dont mean much. I just wanted to point out that attack speed can have its usage even for 1H. But you should increase your agi until the point the next point in agi would give you attack speed above 0%, because agi itself also gives you some PM bonus.

how much WIS will be needed for 150% accuracy though...
in my calculation 100% accuracy need 500 WIS...
with 50 PAB from artifact, it means I only need 450 base WIS to achieve that...

EDIT:
I tried to calculate it...
as we have 80% native accuracy, we need 70% more to achieve 150%...
based on wiki, every 25 points of WIS give you 1% magic accuracy...
so 70*25=1750 WIS???
isn't that too excessive for 1H who don't get WIS from eq.??? (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/blink.gif)

If you want to hit with imperil, imo proficiency is quite helpfull.
