Unassigned equipment assigns itself on equip if I recall correctly.

You'll also outgrow your gears really soon, don't upgrade anything that you don't plan on soul bonding.

I came back recently myself, less than a week ago I was ~100. Pacing is slowing down, but I still get ~10 levels a day, down from 20+

"need to spend 50 overcharge for proc-ing the PA" This overcharge was at first stamina, what did confuse me for a moment, but than i did realize that of course you did mean overcharge and you did correct it later. I'd suggest you to look into how equipment scaling work. In principle you find a good piece of equipment with good base stats (with pre/post fix and stat rolls) that fit your style, and soul bind it.

Thus, the equipment range is meaningless if it's not something soul bind worthy. In this case, whatever have better numbers work, so a gear of lower quality but closer to you in level could be much better than your 50+ levels below gear.

Honestly soul bind is for convenience, nothing around sub 300 is usable in the long run from what I've seen. You want at least legendary, and rare (for level) drop is better off used and resell.

Soulfusing is not recommended neither for him nor for you. Not even for convenience. You'll be wasting soul fragments and your equipments. Soulfusing is meaningful for later on, when you need top notch (Legendary/Peerless) equipment that is levels higher than yours. And believe me you'll need a lot of soul fragments when doing that.

I can only suggest that you change your equipment for something of a higher level from time to time, even with the same quality level, and that you sell back those that you were using before. That way you stay afloat in terms of efficiency and you don't waste soul fragments, and you get to sell the equipment that you were using. Who knows: perhaps you'll be very lucky with your basic IW and end up having very nice potencies that will skyrocket the value of your not-so-basic-anymore weapon?

That being said, if you really, really want to soulfuse something, do so only for your weapon: that's the only thing that is impacted significantly by level scaling. The armor level scaling is way, way weaker and you can easily keep going with something that is 50 levels behind you without having serious penalties.

I don't remember using stamina there, the edit was for the inrestrospect bla bla....

Yeah, quite. I remember that i was confused about it for a moment before i realized that it had to mean overcharge. But in the end, i guess it does not matter.

1. I'm currently using 1H build with rapier and heavy armor. Which items should I purchase first? Rapier or armor?
1-1. When I go to WTS, all the items are basically leveled around 500, which renders it impossible to soulfuse before reaching 400, and I've heard it's extremely difficult to level up past 300. Is there any tips for getting decent low-mid level items that I can at least soulfuse around lv.300, i.e. lv<400.
3.Is there any good tips on battling? Right now, I try to keep haste, regen, heartseeker, spirit stance on and normal attack until the boss round, where I use the shield bash -> vital -> merciful on bosses. I think I can handle up to Hell easily, but it gets a bit shaky for Nintendo and upward, and have to use bunch of potions.
3-1. Any other passive skills I want to use? Like Protect and Shadow Veil?
3-2. Which difficulty should I want to be able to clear for arena, RE, RoB in general? I think I've seen that I should be able to clear all arenas on IWBTH around 300ish, and I think I can currently clear RE on IWBTH if I'm not too unlucky.

EDIT: Is there any tip for sustaining spirit stance forever? It seems that in later rounds, my spirit runs dry and I can't sustain stance because lacking in SP, whilch I have full OC. Is the only way to consistently drink the spirit draught/potion?

1. Go find a good rapier.
1.1 Go to decondelite's shop and low-level auction, and freeshop. Or ask in WTB, where some kind, old players are willing to help you. That's all you have.
I know some Gold Star players reach lv400 in 2~3 months. So stop worrying about leveling up.
3&3-1. Always keep your protection on. Also Spark of light, at Nintendo sometimes monsters cast spirit attacks which one shot you. Shadow Veil is not necessary, but viable if you have problem with survival.
Use weaken and silence on some monsters help you survive.
3-2. Past maybe lv220, you can ppl do all Arenas @Nitendo and RE@IWBTH. ROBs are easy even @IWBTH and PFD, but you will have to keep Spark of Light on

I am currently using lv170 Exquisite Hallowed Rapier of Slaughter.

Jantch generously donated a Gold Coupon to me, and I used it and got Magnificent Fiery Wakizashi of Balance. Did I fuck up big time? I kinda feel bad as the coupon probably could've been used better in someone else's hand...

Just level up for now and save funds for a better rapier and shield.

It's okay you got the Waki. No one really expects good things from coupons.

In retrospective just selling it could've been better, but that's a shitty thing to do with something I got as a donation lol.

It occurs because Monsterbation is waiting for the monster database to reply for the update request.
But when it's only 1 or 2 monsters out of the batch, then it means that this monster in particular needs to be updated, so you should scan it (while it is not afflicted by any malus, though stunned and bleeding wound are tolerated).

I'm sorry if the monster database is having hickups. I haven't had time yet to check why it's having trouble at irregular intervals.

IIRC Monsterbation has an option to highlight monsters not in the database. You can either scan them (if data transmission is activated), ignore it, or toggle it off in the script.

Is the most important supportive spell for survivability Protect? If I were to get one slot for IA, should I use it for Protect or Spark of Life?

Should I not use haste? I've read it's bad for1H+Heavy

I've been meaning to ask, but don't the monsterbation have a major security error for the database it's hosting (a.k.a allowing anyone to modify)? Anyone can screw up the data it have...

The value dropped about 6 months ago.

Basically it is the traditional situation between supply (high) and demand (low).

In addition, over time, players of higher levels (and/or richer) already have high forge level equipment (or even full forge). So they do not need much material (or none).
