QUOTE(mundomuñeca @ Jan 18 2019, 00:02) Edit : Ninja'd by Uncle (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) And now he has different suggestions he can choose from. Btw is it even that easy to get a Mag rapier with 3 PAB and Element and a Mag Force Shield? (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif)

(IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif) Depends if you are in a hurry, or you have some time and patience (and some credits, too, obviously). I got this Mag Tempest Rapier of Slaughter for instance, but I had to search for it for a long time. But at his level it should be quite easier. For the force shield, again at his level should be easier, especially if you are willing to invest a bit, but you have to search it (spend time in forums, less time to play), but again it is possible. I found my Mag Amber forceshield of Protection some time ago, though currently I prefer to use this Mag Kite shield of Prot bought from Bazaar, since forging doesn't cost DMM and has 3 pabs and the block is not bad for kites either. Edit : you see Uncle, this is one benefit of scaling up slowly; you have time to look around and wait for the opportunities (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) This post has been edited by mundomuñeca: Jan 18 2019, 01:49

Tbh my only mag rapier was a selfdrop, and so was my Mag force shield. I made my whole set of selfdrops, except a single rapier from wolfgirl, until i was allready way above level 400. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/blush.gif)

You know, there aren't only Rapiers, force shields and power armor in this game... (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/sleep.gif) At least have the decency to give non-experts a wider array of what they can do, the pros and cons of every possibility they could explore. I bet one could even get an excellent build just from using feathered forged leather.

And what a coincidence, there is a frequent auction with low level gear. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/dry.gif) When a person ask about suggestions. And that person is using 1H, i dont suggest using another playstyle in the hope they get their gear from the auction i manage, because that is your thing. May be a dumb question, at my current level should I bleed a little for assimilator or continue with adept? Normal/hard take to long to achieve something with the time I have to play.

I would say no. I mean sure you would get some prof more, but in the end not enough to actually let you play faster or on a higher difficulty, and when you play on normal /hard i would assume that 50k are allready quite something to you, so imo you really should spend those credits to somethingelse. Like the next level of Archaeologist.

Hum, I've got quarter some years back and yesterday I finally got into the wiki, and started playing what I think maybe right. That's where I got Archaeologist and near 40 levels, and wasted near 30k credits on bazaar, I'm still facepalming myself for not reading the FAQ and only searching for guides in builds in the wiki. Huge improviment from yesterday but still correcting stats and anything more than nightmare kill me easily. I'll stick for the Archeologist when I have some cash and Adept when I have more time on PC to keep training.

Well quartermaster isnt the worst training, but especialy when arch is so cheap it is imo the much better choice. Better payback. So when i understand your post right you are allready reducing your agi and int?

Actually I was trying to put int into 100, and Agi would stay at 120 till I got at 150. Bad thinking?

Well the only thing Int does give you when you play 1H is some spirit points. And at your level i would say you should not use more agi as you need to reach attack speed 10%.

So, stay put with Agi/INT and put effort into STR/END and some DEX? I'm planing to stay 1H/SH till where I get a bit more far into training and knowledgeable to play others build (if the money allow me to) that die more easily if you don't know what you're doing. Personally i did allways prefer Dex before Str and End. I did Str and End the same and Dex at 10 more, mostly for the parry. Well, at your level you can actually play all melee builds. The only playstyle i would actually suggest to wait would be mage. But 2H or DW is something you could play allready. Just saying.

Yes, I've tried and stuck with the 1H/SH better, I like DW but only now I got used playing in Hell with no death so far (except grindfest crits) I've got a nice Mag Force SH 60+BLK,AGI,END,SLAS thanks to Jantch. Hm, parry should really help me in higher difficulties, noted. Thanks for the advices.

I think your big problem is that your Ability Boost trainig is at ZERO (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif) That means you lack ability points to unlock and/or enhance a lot of abilities that can help you play better, higher and safer. Check in Character -> Abilities page what you can unlock (using Mastery Points(, then check how many Ability Points you need and start to train Ability Boost (which is the cheapest training in the beginning, btw). Each level of ability boost trained gives you one more ability point, that you can use in the Ability page to enhance your build/spells/play (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/cool.gif)

I don't think ability boost affect to much for his lv... I tried to count abilities that available for his lv, and it only need 125 points for basic 1H abilities... the only abilities that I didn't count is Weaken, but he only need 6 more points for that...

This is where I think I did a somewhat good job. I'm using full light armor to be sure.

Hm, 1H light? Yeah, i tried that once and i was happy as i finaly did switch to 1H heavy. But no wonder you had a such hight attack speed, i did wonder, but thought that would come from the Agi, looks like i was wrong.

Got into light for the easier find of equips so far. Heavy would be when I find some roadblock or for a change when the money get easier.
Actually the only time I used weaken was Agains Yuki in RoB today. Still thinking it was mage stuff.
I'll invest into that after some Boosts trained.
