Hmm, you're right. With good damage avoidance, spirit shield will do it's job better, since the big hits are capped at 20% of your HP anyway.
Not to mention, I forgot that with shade armour you can also go high agility and get some extra attack speed (since you have 0 burden), which would help as well.
I think I'll give it a try after all.

I almost always cast everything and it seems fine, so was wondering what would happen if I stop casting haste. I'll get IA3 soon so maybe I can just auto-cast haste and shadow vail? I don't auto-cast spirit shield because I thought spirit draughts are more expensive than mana draughts and so I manually cast it when needed.

I don't use silence that often, is the max affected target 3? I started to use weaken not long ago and I just cast it with imperil (both have no cd).

I mostly use draughts only and occasionally a few potions when in the last few rounds of IW or when SoL is activated. I assume I'll be using potions and maybe elixirs in later rounds of GF, when do you normally start using them (past 700?), or not at all? I should really just try it first but I'm still waiting for replacements of my mag armors which have quite a bit of level differences.

I wish I have more time to explore myself but it seems like asking is the fastest way to fix all of the bigger issues.

I just shrined 5M worth of trophies and I merely got 4 leg, 30 ish mag equipments and only 2 of them are not completely trash (usable but not good) and I sold/salvaged all the others. Basically, yes for 1H.

It is not worth doing because you will probably get a better shield.
Also shield IW is far unimportant than armor IW because it cannot get Juggernaut potency.

Yes.

Simply, yes.

The first thing you want is a good shield. Then a good Rapier. Then Legendary Power of Protection or Warding, some of them above level 400 can be bought for 50k, and soulfuse it so that it can actually remain strong enough to effectively kill monsters. Force shields are good because of high Block.

IW increases monster difficulty faster than PFfest. There are also a number of Free IW services located in WTS.

For what, Rapiers? Yes. Just try to find one with good ADB and Parry. Good elemental Strikes can come in time.

How often do you die? I personally would advise against that and do Haste + Spirit Shield. I don't care to use Veil at all. Spark of Life is useful on occasion.

Use them before SGs yes, if it speeds up your clear time.

yes, they have their benefits. However, you'll miss out on the monster lab, and a couple of more very nice features. I recommend bronze or silver only if you don't have the money for gold. And, don't be afraid of leveling up. It's not that bad at all. You can much easier find decent equipment at higher levels. Sure, your drops will lose some value, but they are low value most of the time anyways. And the real good stuff - it doesn't matter what level those are.

If you're having roughly the same interference than me, then it can only mean you're using plate armor and or non-force shield. You're not actually having the mana issues that many players of your level typically have, so imagine the higher mana consumption that is theirs.

To be very accurate, a Peerless Kite Shield's block chance is equivalent to a 13% Force Shield. I'd advise you to get a cheap Mag Force Shield or to sink in a few credits for the next Legendary Force Shield that pops up in the auctions. A high block Buckler of the Barrier is fine too: they're not as strong as Force Shields, but are close to it and don't suffer the same outrageous interference.

IMHO, if you have Legendary Plate mixed with Magnificent Power, it's not that bad. They have higher defense than power armor after all. You can even forge them a bit without having to sink in some horribly expensive Repurposed Actuator. But if you want to go full Power, be on the lookout for some Legendary of Protection/Warding. Or even Peerless of Protection/Warding if you dont mind sinking more credits in that kind of equipment.

As for when it is starting to get hard for us in PFFEST... that doesn't matter for you. Just try PFFEST and see for yourself when it's starting to be unbearably hard. You can always flee when you just can't proceed without using tons of potions and elixirs, there is no shame to flee. Just prepare yourself thoroughly before entering (feathers, infusions, repairing your armor), analyze how the game flow is going and finetune your playstyle.

Last advice: don't compare yourself to higher level players. Nor to anyone else actually.

The gear that I am currently using is listed on my signature... needs a lot of improvement for sure, in the same time requires credits and time... it's a plate with powers that are mostly protections (which gives 75.4% Pmit and 67.9 Mmit).

So who needs a kite shield or a buckler? I thought there is plenty of force shields? or are they better than some mag force shield?

I have bought a force shield from Evil's auction but I don't need it anymore, am looking for a better one.

Not sure if it's new or not.

Say if you triggered a RE while viewing galleries and then click into e.g. an image or front page, without the script, you lose that one time RE and have to wait for another 30mins (iirc).

That "RE" there is like a link saver and will turn red if a RE is saved.

By experience, leaving the page when RE is triggered by closing the window doesn't work.

The Monday dark day bonus is additive, changing regular SG to -11% dark mitigation and dropping Konata to 45% dark mitigation. The day bonus is additive with Imperil, not multiplicative as previously theorized. Unlike Imperil, the day bonus does not cap can increase damage beyond the default. This also explains why Friday void day works to increase all void damage by 5%.

The only multiplicative aspect of elemental mitigation is on the player character, when stacking elemental mitigation among multiple pieces of armor (elemental mitigation is additive within the same armor piece). Spike shield elemental mitigation on the player is not tested as far as I know, but my guess is that it would stack multiplicatively.

Spike shield ailments on monsters are probably additive. I wonder if they can reduce mitigation below zero? I guess tomorrow I'll waste 10 Infusion of Storms, equip Cold Shield, and experiment on Konata. I shouldn't have sold my extra infusions recently.

Konata continued to have the same physical mitigation as regular SG although her randomized damage range is typically missing 1 large "increment" at both the minimum and maximum. This is probably due to rounding shenanigans, and I further presume that monster HP may play a minor role in any such side effect.

This test also proved that fractional attack damage as displayed on power armor is used for calculating damage. I had 8255 attack both before and after the arena but as it progressed my damage values increased by 0~1. That tiny shift even unlocked another 1 large "increment" of random damage, providing a ~100 increase in real average damage, but that's just a fluke of luck.

I believe it's a glitch in monsterbation arena round logging, sometimes happen when you play a battle in alt then move to main
sometimes when you leave a battle without monsterbation/tempermonkey activated
sometimes when you change a script to another (i.e you have multiple monsterbation with multiple setting instead of changing them whenever you change playstyle)
and I believe there would be many that trigger it.

unless that number is there without the script, I don't remember what HV look without monsterbation anymore...

if you only consider the block,
a peerless kite shield is equal to force shield with 13% L-range block
a peerless buckler of barrier is equal to force shield with 65% L-range block
so, no, not every leg force shield is better than any other kind of shields. for example the shield on your signature, there's some buckler of barrier that have higher base block than yours.

Please stop whining about leveling up too fast, it's stupid. the higher your level is, the higher your proficiency is, the higher your block is the easier things is even if you wear shit equipments.

elixirs on 1h-pffest? never. even potion usage on pffest hardly ever reaching 2 digit.
why? because my defense is high enough, mainly due to my level.

soulfuse. I wear THREE mag armor since 350, never bother replacing them. nowadays I could clear pffest blindfolded.
and don't bother of doing grindfest if you can't even comfortably clear legendary equip IW on the said difficulty.

After taking a taking a hiatus for over a year (or two) I was interested in coming back but found that I have no idea what I'm doing. From my arena page it looks like I used to be able to clear up to Trio on IWBTH but now I don't even get close so either the game got much harder or I'm playing it wrong. Hell, I can barely clear random encounters on Nintendo difficulty let alone IWBTH Trio.

Any tips would be appreciated. I've included a badly done cut and paste of all my stats and equipment and have included it as an attachment.
