@BWS:
Casting all the IA spells in an attempt to trigger Channeling is inefficient. The purpose of IA is to save up mana on top of not worrying about the recasting. Just cast Regen and Heartseeker and call it a day. With a bit of luck Regen alone will trigger Channeling anyway. And save up the Channeling Gems to renew those two buffs. Problem solved.
I'd like to add that casting while in spirit stance greatly reduces the mana cost, but will also reduce the likelihood of triggering Channeling.
At worst, you can cast one of the IA buffs when a wild Channeling occurs and you still have plenty of turns left on Regen / Heartseeker. In which case I use it on Spirit Shield.

As for Haste / attack speed: the more attack speed you have, the less often your draughts and Regen will take effect. But at the same time your buffs will last longer. So overall, no attack speed does not help regenerating health / mana, it does the exact opposite.

I recommend this setup:

Let's skip all the abilities in the red bar, to explain the green bar.
Mandatory: Protection, Cure, Heartseeker, SoL, Spirit Shield, Better/Faster/Dark/Holy Imperil (Dark and Holy are needed during SG arenas, to deal extra damage to regular monsters, as your weapon will have Dark/Holy elemental strikes), Better Silence.
Useful, but not critical: Mind Control (to cast Sleep for very difficult challenges), Better/Faster Weaken, Better/Faster Drain, Haste and Shadow Veil (to help you survive if needed). All these ones are here to help when things become tough. I highly recommend using Silence before resorting to Weaken or Sleep. Using either Weaken or Sleep is to your taste. Personally I prefer Sleep because aslept monsters don't attack at all (but do tend to wake up violently because their bars still fill while aslept).
Gimmical: Better Absorb
No need to slot in the drain augment (pink area), that thing is utterly useless.

Haste, if you die too often.

Silence is also a neat party trick, but slot that in if you reach a milestone for the other abilities you want and have spare points.

yep, I use dark & holy infusion alternately just for SG arena...
outside of that I seldom use infusion of the day...

never use haste/SV recently...
when in dire situation like in later IW round I just bear with it and start chugging MP or SP pot...
(tough it more of hassle when I need to find it in skillbook as I don't keybind or set it on quickbar... (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) )

Well, the difference isnt big, but it is there i would say it is worth the cost. Especially when you do the SGs every day.

No, they have -1% mitigation against those elements, so it won't have any effect at all on the SGs. Only on the regular monsters.

And when you're in a difficult situation, relying on potions is a last resort. Prefer finding ways to make things easier by using support/depr spells. You need to find a good balance between the amount of spells cast and the mana consumption it represents.

Oh, and check the setup I've posted in my edit earlier.

Everytime I send a PM to a member, the message just disappears from Sent Items. Is it some sort of config. I'm kinda crazy and I really wanna check what I sent, even previewing everything before...
So, because it is ask the experts...How can I see what I sent to other members as a PM in the sent items?

It's probably a close call whether or not to hardcast versus using your Innate Arcana. The tipping point is moved depending on how much IA you have, and how much Heartseeker costs. For example if you only have IA1 then I would think the hardcasting method saves mana, but it's not so obvious with IA4. Or what if Heartseeker costed 3 times as much as it currently does, then hardcasting would surely save mana.

I could be wrong but I feel like I save by hardcasting until I've gotten all the channeling I want. Another situation that calls for hardcasting is in the middle stages of a long arena. By this time I typically have recovered from my opening mana splurge and my buffs have switched to using the IA4. After a while I end up having to hardcast all my IA spells just to keep the mana bar from overflowing, otherwise it wastes gems and riddlemasters. At this point I can spam Imperil for proficiency until the end of the arena without needing a draught.

I think you save a few turns by relying on IA from the start and at all times, but might save a bit of mana playing my way.

The buffs lasting 50% longer is the biggest effect. I guess MP draughts will indeed slow down by 50%, not sure about natural MP/SP regen. But riddlemasters and gems will drop at almost the same rate.

I’ve only been playing for 6 days and I was wondering how to get my stamina to go back up to 99?
Also, is there a guide that starts off very basic and gets more detailed later on?

you could wait for the stamina to regen itself or use Energy Drink which restore 10 point...
IIRC stamina recovered 1/hour...

So this brings a question, why would you use dark/holy imperil then, do you actually imp normal mobs? (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/blink.gif)

Talking only about 1H, deprecating spells in arenas are a waste of real time. Boosting evasion with SV on autocast, featherweights and having agi at your level lets you passively avoid damage and pay less attention to enemy status and your mp. In tests I did year ago when adopting 1h evasion, it made no noticeable difference on clearing speed, because you cap out on counterattacks very easily and your block and parry chances will still be higher than evasion.

Even if you slot in only 3 buffs, IA5 is good anyway.

When you have only IA3... whether or not casting the buffs anyway is quite the lottery. You may cast everything without triggering a single channeling as much as triggering it successfully. In both cases you're losing the mana that IA would have saved.

But only do so in the beginning, really. Never, ever do that in mid-arena. Any non-IA buff that sill has time left in the end of arena is a waste of mana.

1) When you cast imperil on a SG, the 2 monsters near it are affected aswell. Assuming you're Lvl310+.
2) At some point, the monsters get so much PMit that if you imperil only the SGs, quite often there will still be regular mons left alive when the SGs are dead. So you'll have to attack them anyway. This is even more true when you have only 1-2 SGs in the round. For my part, I chose to solve this issue by imperiling everything when the round starts, and even by doing so I still have to finish mons regularly. This may not be a problem for you right now, but it'll arise later.
3) Why not having imperil strengthened anyway?

Regarding evasion on 1H... Yes in no case evasion affects the clear speed. It may even slow you down if it prevents you from performing counterattacks. Using depr spells however... it depends on one's mastery at having a smooth gameplay with casting in it. For my part when I was clearing arenas as 1H, I was imperiling everything and getting excellent results with that.

That being said, evasion on a 1H build is not entirely useless. It is very valuable for very difficult challenges. I certainly do feel a very positive effect when having 20% evasion during PFFEST once I've feathered my entire set.

Can element mitigation be minus?
I mean when a monster has 30 ele mitigation and I imperil him with -40 mitigation, Do I damage him (1-0%), or {1-(-10%)}

And i still wonder why neither in the advice nor in the advanced advice is something written about that when you play the game below 80 stamina you double the stamina you can actually use by 100%. Because even when you loose the XP bonus from been above 80 stamina, your stamina usage is halfed. Instead of 25 round per stamina you get 50 rounds out of a single stamina and by that also increase the effect of every ED you drink, so when we even drink our Long Gone Before Daylight ED way below 80 stamina in the end we get four times the possible playtime out of it. God i wished someone had told me that before i was allready level 495. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)

so...im trying to IW for first time to lv10 and make it hollow forged
so...how do you get weapon to hollow forged???? i know they say you get it at lv10
but its random?
