I am <0.82 user and I am restarting HV now

New equips are better than my previous one so I am using equips after 0.82

I am using 1H with shield with light armor with following equips:

Magnificent Shocking Axe of Slaughter

Exquisite Mithril Buckler of Protection

Magnificent Zircon Leather Helmet of Protection

Magnificent Agile Leather Breastplate of Protection

Magnificent Leather Gauntlets of Protection

Exquisite Leather Leggings of Warding

Magnificent Onyx Shade Boots of Negation
My strat is killing one by one & using spirit and using Merciful Blow only targetting not common mobs, using Vital Strike in only spirit stance and stunned mobs

Am I doing fine? Which strat or equip should be changed? If there are a forum or article about 1H style please let me know. I have about 1M credit I earned before so I might change equips with them.

Leather is not very good at all, compared to other types at the moment.

At your level, you may be able to play PFUDOR difficulty pretty fast, if you upgrade all your gear. I recommend working towards 1h rapier of slaugter + force shield + power armors.
1. Get a good rapier, preferably legendary of slaughter. Or magnificent of slaughter if that's all you can find.
2. Get a force shield with highest block you can afford. Legendary shoudl be possible at your level.
3. Get power armors, warding is cheap, protection is a bit better but not too much. Slaughter is the best but you will have to pay a lot for them.

If you are a returning player, there is a chance that you have some obsolete gear that can be sold.

Not worth it since it has very low EDB(and its other stats arent good either), which means that you will likely replace it soon.

Elemental gear isn't pricey, so I'd look for better one, but rad robes are rare so it might take some time (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/happy.gif)

If blackjac00 was taking a break from buying then they should close down their shop temporary if blackjac can actually do that and my recommendation for you if blackjac hasn't bought your trophies is to recall them.

Same here. I sent some trophies 12 days ago, but blackjac00 doesn't seem to accept them. It's ppl the longest I've ever waited

This was discussed in detail a few days ago in the other thread. Until then I had no idea how blackjac (possibly) funded his trophies, or why gold star prices seemed to be in chaos.

I've got a couple of Auto-Cast questions:


How does Auto-Cast Upkeep work with decimals? Does it actually deduct that decimal amount from your MP behind the scenes or does it just round?

What would be the best choice for my third AC slot? I've got Protection and Spark of Life on right now, but I'm not sure whether to pick Haste or Shadow Veil as my third.

I disagree. SoL is very important for DW and 2H for example, and the upkeep cost isn't that much.

I mostly play random encounters on IWBTH. SoL usually doesn't matter, but every so often they crit a spirit attack and take off all my HP at once, so it is worth it for those times.

When I play the Arenas or IW then I play on Normal and just use Protection with no other AC spells.

Usually spirit shield, Sol and Protection for the first three slots. Since your spirit shield isn't maxed yet, haste is also good.

Aka 1H. Using SoL as 1H is nothing but a waste of a good slot. And Imo in the end all you "should" need in those slots is Protection and Spirit Shield. "Should" because at your level and with your equipment i admit it is mostly necessary to use haste and shadow veil. At least when you actually want to play on the highest difficulty that is possible for you. I really suggest to upgrade your equipment at least up to 5.

Spirit shield should keep you alive together with the allready suggested upgrade of your equipment. And to avoid those crits you could use weaken on all of them. For an RE it is a good idea, i did it until i was strong enough to just tank all attacks an RE could come up with and i never died during them.

When you are able to survive at least most of the time an IWTBH RE you should be able to play at least arenas on hell. Any lower difficulty is imo really not recommended. You will see that your income will really increase by that. I am just not sure what you mean by AC spell. There are four support spells 1H should use all the time. Protection, Spirit Shield, Regen and Heartseeker.

Abandon? No. Not even use in the first place. I didnt need SoL at 249.

Because i made sure in another way that i wouldnt die of course. Like i didnt play on the highest difficulty until i was ready for it. I used weaken in RE to prevent the monster from critting me. I upgraded my equipment as good as i could. And today the game is even easier as it was when i was 249. So i really cant see any reason to suggest a 1H player to use SoL. Because i KNOW a 1H player dont need it. And because i cant be sure the same way about SoL for 2H and DW i didnt argue against the post from Drksrpnt.
