Don't soulfuse but do IW. You don't need to be too picky about potencies because that one is useful for both (poor man) 1H and (less poor) DW. Just avoid Swift Strike Overpower and accept any combination of Butcher, Fatality, and Overpower Swift Strike. (I made a mistake, since this is a Balance rapier it's ideal for offhand with DW Club. Swift Strike is far better than Overpower for that).
Balance for 1H is underrated, I calculated last year that it affords around half the benefit of Slaughter, due to the increased Crit Chance alone.

QUOTE(Noeleo @ Sep 15 2018, 07:05) HV toolbox works for me. I'll try to explore HV utility later on. Thanks for the help (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) Tell us more after, with utils you need to press 4 buttons to salvage and sell all your unlocked equips. Crits don't work with counters and accuracy is around worthless, so it's rated right (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) QUOTE(Drksrpnt @ Sep 15 2018, 06:39) Is the Deprecating proficiency hath perk worth it for melee? I have a bunch of hath and nothing to really spend it on currently.
If you do use imperil than it might be better than something other.... Maybe..... (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif) This post has been edited by Benny-boy: Sep 15 2018, 15:18

Yes. Helps landing Imperil better. I have 1.1*420 depr prof and it feels acceptable.

Something that's probably been asked of the level 500 club, but which I can't seem to find:
Do the various XP generating hath perks and training bonuses continue to affect proficiency gains once you hit level 500?

Wait, XP generating perks also affect proficiency gains, like thinking cap and such or specific for proficiency mmm...~?

Proficiency gains were changed a while back to be generated directly by XP rather than by RNG possibility on use. That's why there's such comparatively large proficiency gains with Dawn of A New Day. So if you have a whole bunch or large, positive XP modifiers you'll gain proficiency faster. However, at Lv 500 you don't actually gain XP more, so no more XP from daily Dawn, but your proficiencies will still "eventually" level up from battles to 600. So, I wanted to know if the XP mods still help boost proficiencies past LV 500.

I do think so, but I have no way to test it precisely. I already had everything maxed on xp mods before lv500. But it's very logical that it would, as the description from the change is that proficiency is directly linked to exp.

Yep, you only need to use it once per round.

QUOTE(afire1 @ Sep 17 2018, 21:23) about shield, https://hentaiverse.org/equip/41086482/1974fb891c is good for 1h or higher block chance better? For 1H, the most important stat for the shield block chance,so Force Shield which has the highest block chance is the best type, and after that should be Primary Attribute Bonus, with SDE (STR, DEX, END) is preferred mmm... So try to find force shield that suit your level, at least magnificent if you can, another type of shield is okay too if it actually has a decent block chance that match force shield mmm...

I'm a 2H heavy and I use Protection, Regen and Spark of Life.
I've started to get killed more frequently and it seems to mostly be by single powerful attacks. Most of the time the monsters don't do much damage, but then suddenly reduce my HP to zero and Spark of Life triggers.
I was looking at Haste, Shadow Veil, Absorb and Stronger Spirit supportive abilities. Shadow Veil looks good as it increases the chance of evading while Stronger Spirit might nullify the powerful attacks.
Which supportive spells is it best to use as a 2H heavy?

You need spirit shield-stronger spirit too (and 2H works better with light armor)

Thanks for the advice. I gave Sprit Shield a try but it was a lot less useful than I expected. It looks like I'd incorrectly identified the problem and powerful attacks are less of an issue than I thought. I reset my abilities and gave Shadow Veil a try and that makes a hell of a difference. I'll definitely keep using that. QUOTE(Benny-boy @ Sep 18 2018, 01:15) (and 2H works better with light armor)
Oh, I didn't know that (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif) I don't have any light armour so I'll stick with what I'm using until I change to mage.

Spirit shield is pretty much a must for all melee build, haste also pretty good for 2H and DW, but not so much for 1H mmm...

Thanks for the advice. I'll train some ability points and give Haste a try. I might also train some more ability points for Spirit Shield so it's available if I need it. I didn't notice that much difference with Spirit Shield, but I can't believe how much of a difference Shadow Veil makes. It's fantastic.
