Yeah, Overwhelming Strikes is the one too many buffs that 1H does.
Seriously, removing Overwhelming Strikes from 1H and adding spirit charging on Domino Strikes would balance things way better. That is, even that way 2H would remain below, due to the low attack base damage provided by the 2H ability.

Also adding spirit charge per hit for DW, because you hit twice you should generate twice as much spirit right? Well, if you have 100% offhand strike chance anyway.

Quick remedial question on how the Shrine works: When I offer up one of the higher-tier trophies, I have a guarantee on a certain tier of equipment, but there is a small probability that I could get something higher, correct?

Or would I be better off just selling any trophies I get, since I don't have the Snowflake hath perk and thus cannot get the occasional Peerless equipment?

I'm not saying we should nerf 1H, but should buff other melee style. Over lv200 most will switch to 1H because other style just too hard to play.

Hey, if we talk about buff DW, 2H and Niten i fully agree. I have even tought about that whole monster parry problem. Oak and Willow have counter-resist. So, what about giving some melee weapons counter parry without the need to IW it? Or something else i would like, give us 1H, DW and 2H proficiency perks. I would buy the 1H perk. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/happy.gif) And the perk would be easier to integrate as my counter-parry idea.

And even when i think the whole Overwhelming Strike were just created to balance 1H to DW, i mean DW can actually have 10 Overpower while 1H could have just a max of 5. I would even say let us give all the melee styles Overwhelming Strike. But those are just ideas. It is not as if i could decide anything. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/happy.gif)

You should always maximize profs. You eliminates all elemental mitigation at 0.78 prof factor, not 0.68, so upgrade it to 50

If you forge staff and gloves to level 50, your prof_factor would be 0.6647.

I strongly recommend doing that.

Upgrade weapon/shield first. You can get legendary weapons very cheaply (less than 50k) that would be significant upgrades over your current equipment. Decide between 1h and 2h - once you figure that out you can upgrade armor (heavy if 1h, light if 2h) - but be sure to go at least magnificent shade if light and magnificent power/shielding if heavy.

my advice is none should be upgrade, only mag or better worth upgrade (even mag may not worth)
it's recommend to play 1h+heavy, 2h+shade (1h highly recommend)
