IMO your mag rapier is better
I think, part where peerless one noticeably better is on it's STR and parry chance, but a difference of ~56 str is iinm around ~112 atk difference, while the ADB shows a 250 atk difference, so the mag rapier still have 130 more attack. parry difference is 'just' 2%, so if you don't have any actual problem in survivability, then I don't think that 2% would matters too much

Well, that depends if have a good IW is the amnesia shards worth for you or not. All i could tell you is that i would reforge it in general, just maybe not for that rapier.

But i would use the slaughter one and replace it as soon as possible with a Leg Slaughter that is not Fiery.

You should just face it. The mag has an actuall base damage of 42.66 while the peerl has a base damage of 39.38. When you give them the same IW and the same upgrade the Mag will still have more damage.

no, the mag base adb is 42.66 and the peer base adb is 39.38. if it have same upgrades then the mag one will always have higher adb.

take note that even 50k leg slaughter will generally always have more atk than your peerless illithid.
for example this and this that sold for 50k on auction yesterday.

imo upgrading your peerless to reach the same base adb as those two might cost more than 50k (maybe except when you count butcher, but still if you also put the butcher on those leg slaughter it will eclipse your peer illithid again)

just because I said any 50k rapier will generally better than your peerless, don't just blindly buy any 50k rapier off auction or shop, consider the level too (and it's soulfusing price) and if you are not bathing in credits, don't rush in getting new gears as I once use an exq weapons up until around lvl 350 and mag until lvl 390-ish, both slaughter with tho.

Or just use Live Percentile Ranges. With that you can see at the first view if another rapier is better or worse. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/happy.gif)

Well, i use ariel 9 bold normal -4. And it works for me.

Well everything that is not Mag, Leg or Peerl is nothing but bazaar fodder. The same goes for Mag and Leg Leather and Plate. Also all weapons that are of vampire and of Illithid. Except you would drop yourself a peerl one. You will allways find a collector who would you pay more as the bazaar. And if you allready follow this rules i doubt that you will encounter that much equipment, that you would be overchallenged by them. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/happy.gif)

I'd still use the Peerless Rapier of Illithid if I were him. Because peerless PABs, stats and peerless parry.
You lose a lit a bit of ADB that way, but you certainly do have a way better accuracy, crit chance, defense and all.
Totally worth it to lose around 15-20% weapon ADB (I haven't made the exact calculation) / an overall 5-10% attack base damage, if you ask me.

Don't forget that players want peerless mostly because of peerless stats guys. And don't underestimate the power of those peerless stats. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/happy.gif)

Yeah, but you should not forget when it comes to a 1H rapier there are in the end just two stats actually important. Damage and parry in that order. Not the other way around. And every single other stat is nothing but bonus. And just to show you what i mean.

Yeah, and i am sure there allways will be. Except you would revamp the whole game. I mean since we no longer have any cap on how much stuff we use in battle from the Battle Slots i cant see how you will make them usefull at all. Also in the end it is not the worst, otherwhise it would be much easier to get great drops. So bad equipment just has to be a port of any grinder game.

Imo damage makes two-thirds of a good rapier and parry just one. If you would now play DW, i would say okay, keep it as a offhand until you get a better of nimble rapier, or a Wakizashi. But we are not talking about DW.
