I beat it when I was lv.220 (@ normal) at first try, not a problem, just a bit long.

I used 1H style, with reasonably meh equipment. Cast Regen first thing (you should have at least Protect in IA1 already, possibly SS in IA2 too).
Then, as Uncle and others says, cast sleep and/or silence on the stronger monsters, and cut away asap the others.
Now you should remain with the strongers ones only alive, but still silenced or sleeping, and quite a bit of OC.

Starting from Yggdrasil, that must be dealt with first, imperil and attack, and when you have enough OC use OFC (it helps a lot).

After Yggdrasil is gone, the others cannot regenerate their health.

and that's your problem, you mage at lvl 250. most people will say don't to maging until late lvl 300-ish, or at the earliest 310 when your imperil have no more cooldown
the reason is survivability as mage have low health, low damage mitigation, and only resist, evasion, with small number of parry for damage negation.

if you wants to make mage work efficiently, then specialize on one element., make something like near or more than 200% on one element and whatever on the rest.

Maging on normal/hard difficulty is quite possible, even if certainly not the easiest thing to do.

Specializing in just one element can be tricky at this level thou', 'cause you don't usually have a wide choice of equipments to wear, and often you have to compromise (like, a better one but not suited to my element, or one suited but less good overall?)

IMO rainbow is OK, just stick to the four elements (and eventually just a couple if possible) and avoid Dark/Divine, if you have good Phase to enhance Spell Damage it's better, but a couple of good plain cotton of the Elementalist give you a great boost in Prof and are cheap to forge up (while Shade is impossibly dear, what with Phazons' price (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/anime_cry.gif) )

Imo playing on normal/hard is not recommended.

By the way, many thanks to those who suggested using hover for imperil - I initially thought it might use up too much mana on ineffective casts, but it's so, so much faster with it! My t/s is still tragically slow, but more than double of my previous t/s.

Afaik the order they are written. Imo it is also the only order that makes actual sense. So you get additional tickets and the whole thing will be double up to the 10% cap.

It's 100 tickets. There's no order. You just add 100 tickets and then during the lottery you will count as double, simple.

I cannot explain the reason but I reached 300 within a month, with the first week or so just trying out the game and running into GF dying a few times as daily routine.

It's okay. Not perfect, but very close. Your staff is not perfect either. If you plan to forge it fully and to play PFFEST with it, you may want to reforge. But I think the stats make it a temporary staff, and then the IW is good enough.

Correction: dragging the combat for too many rounds makes any of the monsters Op. Even the hilarious wimps known as goddesses. BTW, kill the goddesses last: you don't want the entire party to get a buff every time you take down a goddess.

Nope. Sometimes the perks dont get activated directly but you still have got the perk, you dont have to level, you dont have to do anything but wait. Or you can clear your cache and such. Sometimes this fix the problem.
