Hm, not sure if difficulty has actually an effect on the sort of monster food you get. This is at least something i never have looked at. But of course higher difficulty means mostly more loot overall because of higher monster PL. But when it has an effect, i would guess higher is better. And i would also think that the Scavenger and Luck of the Draw does also help with this. Scavenger for the overall dropchance and Luck for of course better chance to get less chow and more from the better ones. Why do you ask, do you have problems to get enough edibles?

Maybe on IWBTH or higher? give the 'best' drop spread between chow/edibles/cuisine if you aim for edibles and cuisine as it's stated that they got same 30%-30% chance from food drop roll.

I got 75 monster edibles and 500+ monster chows.

I also have an even bigger problem with happy pills too which drop even less.

You have problems to feed just two monsters? (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/huh.gif) I have more than 120 and i have absolutly no problem at all to keep them feed and happy. And when it comes to drops, higher difficulty is allways better. No matter what sort of drop. And i would also guess you really should train some scavenger. What is your scavenger training level?

It's level 25.

I've been giving up on going higher for a while to increase drop training on artifacts and on Assimilator.

I don't keep track of how much I play on a regular day but it's really low usually unless I'm close to leveling up or I need to grind exp or credits.

Well, all i could tell you is that playing more rounds overall would give you of course more edibles and pills. When you with such a decent level of scavenger has problems i doubt another level or two would solve the problem without to play a bit more rounds. And i am sure playing a few more rounds would solve the problem even without any more training.

Or now that i did think about it, just trade the monster food you dont have any use for with others that have. I mean just in case you dont just want to buy some edibles.

Finish the very first arena on pfudor. Sell the (most probably average) clear bonus you get to the equipment shop. Should earn you enough credits to buy several day's worth of monster food in the item shop. Repeat as needed.

It truly is that simple. Every couple days I sell my entire stock of worthless equip drops to the bazaar and clear well, well over 100k. Play an arena, sell like 4 dang schoolgirl trophies, will buy you a shiteload of chow.

Imo you should at least salvage those average (or lower) equipment that brings you scrap you will need to repair your stuff. And of course you can also get those you dont need and sell them to other players who would need them.

I already bought some monster edibles but only for 600 credits.
I make a thousand or so credits per day just for playing HV alone.

That was just me saying it is one of the ways which makes me play more HV.

I usually salvage stuff like average or fair and even superior quality for materials that I sell to people needing them for credits.

I haven't sold my schoolgirl trophies because I want to put them in a shop of my own but if nobody else but blackjac wants them then I'll give nearly all of them to that person.

I don't want to sell them off to buy chow but maybe I'll change my mind about that someday.

After a nice new staff and advice from magiclamp thanks,
I looked into my proficiency factor.

My Elemental Effective Proficiency is 431 / 323 = 1.33 (Elem. Pro.factor)
I don't understand why my elemental is so low I've been doing Elemental exclusively since lvl 50, casting elec/fire/cold/wind and heal repeat...
Something is very wrong! I should have 10:1 elemental proficiency over the rest!
Is it possible I've lost some proficiency/ratio over the years of updates?

I can understand Depreciating and Supportive as I do 3 Auto casts then Shadow veil, Weaken and Imperil.
I I started doing Divine at ~250 and just started doing Forbidden at lvl 300.

That does looks a bit off - I think probably due to old proficiency gains being lower than current (if you've been using elemental exclusively your base proficiency should be at least 10% higher than your level). But, fortunately for you, it should catch up very quickly if you keep using elemental magic. That being said, you probably will need at least one piece of cotton to get the 1.68 factor.

Edit: Overestimated base proficiency - it caps at 20% over level, but without assimilator it'll probably end up around 10% higher than level.

1) Currently I'm running 3+2, but the old ask the experts thread seems to suggest 5 phases is best - is that because of lower proficiencies back then or is it still better to go 5 phases?

2) Related to the above, I was thinking of getting the proficiency perk and then switch to 4+1, but then I might not be able to hit 1.68 - is that important enough that if I'm unable to hit it I should just to straight 5 phases?

3) I'm using the script to use the strongest available spell including T3, would it be more mana efficient to only to T1&T2 with script and manually use T3? Seems a bit of waste to use T3 when there are only a couple of monsters remaining.

4) Also script related, I understand that it's against the rules to stop combat when I get channeling, but is there any way to avoid wasting channeling on a T1 when I could use it on a more mana-intensive spell instead?

1. I tested this recently, and 5 phases is actually a bit slower than 3+2 or 4+1. Optimal is close to 0.68 but a bit lower is okay too. Just don't do 5 phases.

2. Perk us a good investment, if you ever want to switch to mage.

If so, can I write a script and fight Arena 150-200 with 2 or 3 tabs in a same time?

Just to let you know: I got maxed out trainings, and I till don't drop enough edibles to sustaim my army of 70 monsters (almost all of them are fed with edibles) if I don't do all arenas everyday plus a full Grindfest on weekend.
At some point, one just cannot be autonomous regarding monster food if he doesn't play a lot.

Unless you know current prices on materials and how salvage works don't do this, I'm almost certain you lose quite a sum. Just buy scrap from players with coupon clipper perk, it's more profitable even time-wise (or use script that distinguishes and sells them almost automatically and modify it for current prices)
