QUOTE(magiclamp @ Aug 26 2018, 03:48) Just wondering whether SEA vs DEA actually is a significant difference for 1h mage - it seems to make a big difference in price. Last week a DEA Legendary Mithril Buckler of the Battlecaster sold for 3.6m whereas I just got my hands on this SEA Legendary Mithril Buckler of the Battlecaster for 80k. (As a side note, a SDA Legendary Reinforced Buckler of the Battlecaster sold for 1m a couple of weeks ago). The main reason I'm asking is because my current 1h mage shield is Magnificent Mithril Buckler of the Battlecaster, which I assume I should just salvage and use the materials to forge the new shield. But if DEA makes a big diff maybe I just stick with current shield? I'll say not much Difference. STR increases your Physic Damage, it is useful when you use OFC, but still not very important. DEX increases your Physic Damage and Parry Chance. END increases your Physic and Magic Mitigration and HP. AGI increases your Physic Mitgration and Evade. SDE ones can also be used in 1H-Melee Set, but it seems that few People'll use a Buckler of Battlecaster for 1H-Melee. I use a SDE one myself, but for a Buckler of Battlecaster, I think DEA maybe better. The only Place, which can be a little dangerous for 1H-Mage, I think that it may be the deep PFUDOR Fest, where you lose a lot of SP, if you get Hits, so you may have to use SP Potion regelmäßig like me and more Defense is better. For other Places, like 100 Rounds PFUDOR IW, Defense is not a Problem, which 3 of the 4 PABs of your Buckler has makes not much Difference.

I have some question about the ethereal weapon, can someone help me? Is there any difference between an ethereal weapon and IW 10 element weapon? Does the latter has better dame? If I go 2H is it a must to have an ethereal weapon? (14 burden on peerless for other) If not then what the best element weapon should I go? And why infusion has a different price?

Ethereal doesn't have burden/interference, so it's better for evade melee builds, downside is that strike is random, so you may have to spend some extra time/shards for dark/holy strikes (they deal noticeably more damage, usually any of this 2 is good to go). Price of infusions depends on popularity/damage of the element.

Does the bonus dame from element weapon effect the element strike? I don't play mage so I don't know what make difference between element dame, and why is storm/lighning is higher than fire/ice?

Ethereal has no burden and interference, but you can use featherweight shards on elemental ones. So they are the same. Demonic/hallowed is only good against the schoolgirls. Most ethereal users leave weapon at IW9 state rather than IW10. They don't gamble on 1/6 or 2/6 chance. They then use whichever infusion they want based on the circumstances. Spell damage that some provide has nothing to do with physical damage. Elemental strikes and void strikes are subtypes of physical damage. Peace. Wind/elec mages are stronger than fire/cold mages. That's all you have to know for now...

(IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/huh.gif) You never used them yourself did you? Because reducing the equipment's burden and interference by 7 or 50%, whichever is higher ≠ no Burden and no interference. QUOTE(-vincento- @ Aug 26 2018, 17:27) Demonic/hallowed is only good against the schoolgirls.
I wonder what the monsters say about this. Oh, look, celestial and sprite say they are week against dark and daimon and undead say they are week against holy. Tbh i wonder how they can in that case even get all the infusions they need. Because i havent seen that many people actually buy infusions in WTB. And one person alone does not drop enough infusions to cover all the arenas. Also when you would upgrade the weapon, you also increase the potency, to either they would do that with a fully upgraded weapon. Or they would reforge it everytime they get the 10th potency. Sounds really stupid to me. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/sleep.gif)

Featherweight shard negates only 7 or half of burden, so with 2H or axe/club you lose some evasion regardless.

Most likely you won't get full potency if you only upgrade what you need or you've upgraded some before IW QUOTE(Benny-boy @ Aug 26 2018, 23:51) Featherweight shard negates only 7 or half of burden, so with 2H or axe/club you lose some evasion regardless.

Now, let me quote wiki page about infusions: QUOTE Only 1 infusion effect may be active at any time in combat. Adds an Elemental Strike effect to the player's weapons. A maximum of 2 different types of elemental strikes (in addition to Void) may exist on a weapon (achieved via Item World or via infusions).
If the wiki page is not outdated, the IW9 strategy is pointless, I think. Edit: Oh shit, I've just noticed the first line of the wiki quote is related to in-battle usage. So you can do double infusion after all? This post has been edited by Mars131: Aug 26 2018, 18:55

Why would it be pointless? Ethereal has void strike, then use 2 infusions for the 2 elemental strikes. Edit: Oh, I understand what your questions is - yeah, I think that first part relates to only the in-combat effects (really only used for mages) rather than for enchanting via forge. QUOTE(-vincento- @ Aug 25 2018, 06:39) Prof gained is determined by your exp gained and your training level. So apparently you still want the highest difficulty possible. There are benevolent IW shops that provide free or 1c/pxp IWs. Just make sure you know you can take advantage of it if necessary.
Thanks, but IDK what the acronyms mean in: "1c/pxp IWs" (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif)

QUOTE(Lastwizard05 @ Aug 25 2018, 21:22) Wait, does old patch equipment has different base scalars? Magnificent Ethereal Redwood Staff of The ElementalistLegendary Ethereal Redwood Staff of The ElementalistMag one has lower level, lower base in MDB, Fire EDB, Elem Sup Depr Prof, Int. But it still has a better actual roll than the Leg one. Wis has 1.65 base difference but still close to that Leg. If so, should we update percentile range and the formula? Did anyone noticed such things before? IDK Hoping someone will answer. Is it possible " Spellweaver Lv.1" affects it?

My guess is those stats are better because of the upgrades. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/duck.gif) QUOTE(Goodman2011 @ Aug 27 2018, 02:17) Is it possible "Spellweaver Lv.1" affects it?
Does just increase casting Speed. Nothingelse.

QUOTE(Lastwizard05 @ Aug 27 2018, 10:12) Some stat are not forged: Prof and PABs Even they are forged, the base are still much less than new patch: Mag MDB forged base: 25.7; Lv. 323 actual roll: 549.28 Leg MDB base: 30.11, Lv. 348 actual roll: 491.13
Literally this old Mag is better than new patch Leg staff, even that lower base stat are considered as bad nowadays.
What is the actual roll and how did you calculate it?
